Kandi's story

Chapter 1: ⚠️SH TW⚠️

She awakens right as She does, her alarm goes off, playing Owl City's "Fireflies" She smiles bright "Today is going to be good! It's going to be a good day" she gets up, and starts to get ready.
*Kandi's POV*
I open my eyes a few seconds before my first alarm goes off, it's one of my favorite songs! I smile bright and exclaim "Today is going to be good! It's going to be a good day" I get up and go to the bathroom for a shower. When I get undressed, I look in the mirror, bad mistake "ugh, I'm so fat, and I will never feel completely good about myself I guess." She shrugs and steps in the shower
*30 mins later*
Kandi steps out of the shower, grabbing a towel and walking back into her room, closing the door behind her and locking the door. "Man, have the cuts opened back up? Dangit." She goes to her bedside table, covered in bracelets, makeup, and a record player with a vinyl on "where Did I put it... aha! There they are" she grabs the bandaids and hydrogen peroxide, cleans the cuts that have opened on her leg and put bandaids all over them "I have to stop this.. but it helps a lot" she sighs, and shakes her head "today is going to be a good day. A very good day" she walks over to her closet, which has a mix of Neon colors and greys/blacks "I want to do something fun, but casual, so maybe these Zebra pants!" She holds them up and then puts them on, "looking cute, Kandi! Looking cute" she searches for a shirt to wear, a new song plays "Monster" by Meg&Dia. I get up and started dancing around, holding an AC/DC shirt "this will look good!"
*3rd person POV*. She grabs the usual, her Gir Hoodie,puts both on and walks back in the bathroom to do hair, and then turns of the radio and brings her iPod downstairs, "Morning every-" as usual, nobody is here, they all left, except the little sister, who is making eggs "hey kiddo, did mom and dad go to work?" Her little sister Katie looks up and smiles "yup! I also made your favorite, eggs, sausage and a cup of coffee, extra cold, extra black" Kandi smiles "thank you, lovely! You know exactly what I like" she kisses the top of her kid sisters head and walks over to the table, before she could sit down, she finds a birthday card "Oh crap! I forgot it's my birthday! Haha! I guess I'm just getting too old for birthdays" Kandi sits down and opens the card, but it's not from family, who is this from? "Hey there Kandi, we have never met, but I think you look cute and I like you a lot, can we meet up tomorrow at the mall? Signed, your secret admirer" She nearly had a heart attack, 'I have a secret admirer???' She thinks. Her little sister walks over and sets her plate of eggs and cup of orange juice down "oh yeah! She asked me to give you this, do you know who she is? She seems like she knows you." Kandi looks up, shocked 'she is a girl?? Oh man' "uh no, I don't, heh, what did she get me?" Katie hands her a small box, painted black, with a red/blue heart "well open it!" Her sister yells excitedly, Kandi reluctantly opens it, slowly and with care, now to mess up the paint. Her Eyes widen "what? What is it??" Her little sister yells, trying to look, but Kandi pulls the box away "sorry! It's private, I guess she didn't want anyone else to see it!" She finishes her food, "I have to get ready to go to school!" It was early in the morning, the sun, not yet rising. Kandi runs up to her room, closing the door behind her
                      *Kandi's POV*
'What? This makes no sense, was it hers? Did she want me to keep it?' I thought, as I slowly open the box again, to reveal a necklace, with an actual Razor blade, with an attachable clamp to take the blade on and off. "So weird" I said out loud, putting the box back, and walking back down the stairs. "You ready for school already?" My kid sister says, she is only in 5th grade, but she knows more than most, "yeah! I told you, being a junior in high school is not something to mess around with, after this year I have 1 year left until I'm out in the real world." I said with a bright smile, "oh." Katie said weirdly, "well I left your bag on the couch, I also put your sketchbook in there too" she said, almost finishing her breakfast, "ok, Katie, have a good day at school, remember the bus leaves at 7:30, you don't want to have a repeat of last time" I laughed, Katie looked embarrassed and laughed too, that one time she had to chase the bus for almost 2 blocks "alright, alright, love you Kandi. And make sure to give my coffee cup back from in your car, when you are done using it" Katie said "alrighttt, byee!" I said shutting the door and walking to my car, "hey there Betty boop" I call the car Betty Boop because it's a volts-wagon bug, now I have all the right to call punch buggy because it's my car, 'alright, I'm going to stop by my best friends house first' I thought to myself, getting in the vehicle, and pulling out of the driveway.
                            *3rd person POV*
Kandi pulls in another driveway, when a medium height, dark-skinned boy skips out, wearing a...crop top, with a full length undershirt, and skin tight jeans, he hops into the car and puts his purse down "What's upppp girllll!!" He shrieks with delight "nothing much, Mad Max!" She says back, holding in her laughter "Mad! I'm very, how should you say it, 'outgoing' if you know what I mean," Max winks and laughs hysterically, "whatever, I know the teachers are going to dress code you again so I brought one of my shirts and pants for you to borrow, like always" Kandi laughs, "You know, they are very homophobic! Especially towards gay MEN! It's like YES some of us are masculine, but you can't just fit us into that stereotype of being 'MANLY' you know?" She nods at what max has to say, "understandable, they need to fit in a more diverse dress code/code of conduct it's just DAMAGING to the LGBT!" Kandi says, "oh! And I got our favorite" Max says, pulling out two energy drinks, "ahhh! Max you are a LIFESAVER! That's one of the many reasons why you are my best friend" Kandi takes the green one, but not before her best friend pulls out a straw, made of metal, opens the can and plops the straw in. "My pleaser Kandi Baby." He smiles and kisses her on the cheek, "I always know your favorite, I mean it's displayed everywhere!" With him pointing to her green hoodie, and green makeup "also it goes so well with your outfit!" He squeals with delight. "Alright, alright-" she takes a sip of the energy drink and breathes out a satisfactory sigh "lets get to school before we are marked tardy again!" She smiles, pulling out Max's driveway.
