A Simple Guide To A Feather

A Feather is what the Phoenixes of Winterlake call a flock Phoenixes. The term changes depending on where the phoenixes live, but most call a flock of these big birds Feathers. But other phrases are:

Beak

They are not too many roles, but its enough roles to keep their Feather together.

Flakes: The ruler of the Feather, they get to choose a female to rule alongside them, which are called Snowflakes. To gain the Flake role, a male has to challenge the current Flake, and they will fight to the death. It does not matter if the male challenging the Flake is a Tumbleweed. This is to insure that the Feather gets a strong leader. However, if a male dies without being challenged, their male child will take their place. If they have none, then the elders will have a dream where the Phoenixes of the stars tell them who shall replace their Flake.

Snowflakes: The female ruler, has less power then a Flake, but is still powerful. She bares the Flake's eggs.

Snowfalls: The children of the Flake and Snowflake. They lose this role when they reach 1 year old, which then they will began to train. ( This is also whenever the Phoenixes gain the ability to fly.)

Rockenes: A Phoenix after it passes the Phoenix Test. When a Phoenix gets this role, they are now a full adult Phoenix. However, now they will need to contribute so much more to the Feather  then they needed to when they were younger. If the Rockenes are under 1 year old, and their father was killed by another Phoenix, then the young Rockenes are forced to be killed.

Trainees: A Phoenix older then the age of 1 who has not passed the Phoenix Test. Trainees will learn about flying, defending, ect when they are a trainee. Since Phoenixes are so powerful, it often takes years until the Phoenix has gained its max power, so many Phoenixes stay in the trainees role for 2-4 years. However, if you are a trainee for 10 or more years, you become a Tumbleweed or a Cactus. 

Tumbleweed: A Tumbleweed is a Phoenix that is either preparing to be on their own or are on their own. The parents of the Phoenixes may choose if they become a Tumbleweed or a Trainee. For a Phoenix to be eligible to become a Tumbleweed, they will need to be 1 and a half years older, just so they have some experience of what to do. A Tumbleweed will have no Feather, and will either have to fight a Flake to become the leader of a Feather, or join a feather, live alone forever, or create your own Feather.

Cactus: A Phoenix who has no use to the Feather expect baring eggs and free mating for the males. The cactus get little to no food.

Cloud: A Phoenix under the age of 1 year. They are taken care of by their mothers. 

Elders: The old Phoenixes of a Feather. They often tell stories to the young, and if there is a prophecy, they are the ones to tell it.

This is a pretty basic guide, because my hands have decided to die on me, i will work on this some more later.
