I had been at the farm for just over a month now, and life was good. Brooks backed off a little and we got invites to Hayley and Dustin's wedding. It was in 2 months and to say I was excited was an understatement.

I had talked to Joe and we had decided that it was a good idea to get work off the farm as he couldn't pay me as much as I "deserved" as he had put it, so today I was heading into town to find work. So I jumped in my ford and started to drive.

I passed Dustin's drive. His Toyota hilux came rolling over the cattle grid.
"Hey Tex!" He shouted rolling his window down.

"Whats up?" I said back, winding my own down.

"Not much just going into town to get supplies, what about you?"

"Going into town and handing out my resume," I said waving the papers in the passenger seat.

"Haha if your looking for work, my Uncle just bought a truck load of unbroken horses and he was going to ask me to help him but I can't with the wedding and all, but he was talking about hiring someone . I could give him a call if you like? I've seen your work and you are amazing, so you will get the job, haha."
"Ok sounds good, you just saved me a trip into town," I said with a big smile.
"Haha I'll give you a buzz when I hear back from him," He said, with a tip of his hat he drove off.

Ah I was real excited, I hadn't broken or trained a horse for a good few months. I drove home probable a little to fast, but I was excited. I pulled up to the house in a cloud of dust, excited to tell Joe.
I ran in to house and found Joe sitting in the lounge room eating lunch.
"May have got a job," I said staring at his face.

"You weren't even gone half and hour," he said back with a confused look.

"I know I'm just that good, haha," I said with a smirk.

"Ok then so what is this amazing job that you have found your self?" He asked questioningly.

"Breaking and training horses for Dustin's Uncle, well I have to wait for a phone call from Dustin to say I have to job, but He said He would make sure I got the job."

"Sounds like it would be good for you Kid," He said just as my phone started going off. Naturally it was the TARDIS noise. I pulled it out of my pocket and looked at the contact, it was Dustin.
I eagerly answer, "Hello."

"Hey Tex its Dustin, you got the job!" He said.

"YEEEE HOOO, when do I start?" I asked.

"Tomorrow mornin' 'bout 7, he wants to see you ride before He makes and specific commitment, He has a few boys lined up, His place is about an hour west of here, I'll text you directions, good luck haha." He said.
"Haha good thanks. What do I need to take?"

"Take Denny with you for the trial thing, and please just wear a helmet," He said referring back to a month ago.

"Okay will do, Ill talk to you later," I said, "Oh and thank you so much for this."

"No worries Tex, I'll see you later," and with that He hung up.
Ah I was so excited.
I went to stable and led Denny out and went into the arena. We start off with a half hour warm up, then we start working on a few of the tricks we had been learning over the past month. We worked long and hard on those. We worked on the mechanical cow and a bit of sporting, before calling it a day.

I hosed Denny off and rugged him before putting him in the front stall for the night. I feed up all the horses then head back inside.

I skipped dinner before heading up to bed. I needed a good night sleep for my big day tomorrow.

I was on the road by 5:00 and following the directions. Dustin's Uncle lived on the the other side of Gunadah. So it was about an hour, hour and a half, but with the horse float it was going to take me longer.

I got to the property 15 minutes before 7. I parked my truck next to the barn. I lent over to the passenger side to grab my hat when I heard a tap on my window. I turned around and wound my window down.
"Howdy," I said.
"G'day, you here for the horse breaking and training thing?" Asked the boy. He looked my age with blond hair and Blue eyes, he looked oddly familiar.
I nodded my head in answer.
"I'm here for it too," he said cockily, "I'm Nathan and you pretty lady are?" He asked and the memories rushed back into my head, Brooks cousin.
With a smirk I reply, "None of your concern," and the recognition flashed in his eyes.
"Audrey, hey nice to see you again," he said scratching the back of his head.
"Ah so you remember me. Good. Now if you will excuse me I have a job to get."

By 7 a few more boys had showed up with their horse's. I had met Dustin's uncle, John. He was really nice, but he was not sure about me when it comes to the breaking of these horses. Well all I can say is, that he is in for a shock.
