As Spyro and Eon's ghost floated in the air passing through the light, puffy clouds talking about their recent exploits Spyro suddenly brings up the Academy.

"Hey, Master Eon" "Yes Spyro" Eon replied "I've been thinking about the Academy and my friends. But whenever I think about them the first person to come into my head is Cynder. I never said sorry for what I did to her when I was evil. And it's been bugging me. More than I think it should" he said a hint of annoyance in his voice. "Ah Spyro the Academy is one of the only things I can think about and especially all of the Skylanders. I really do hope that they will be alright without us. But we need to focus on getting to the portal. Speaking of the portal we are getting exceedingly close to it" Eon said with a light tone. "How can you tell?" Spyro asked mystified by how Eon knows because as for as he can see it's just clouds for miles and miles in every direction. "Can't you feel it?" "Feel what?" Spyro asked annoyed. "Ugh the portal emits massive amounts of magical energy. The closer we are to the portal the more magical power I can feel. Dragons can sense this much better than any other species" Eon told him exasperated. "I guess I can feel it" Spyro exclaimed. "Wow now that I have noticed it, it feels so refreshing". "I know. Although it is better for you" Eon said.

Suddenly in the distance a stone structure set comfortably on an island emerged from a large cloud as if by magic. "We have arrived" Eon stated.

Back at the Academy the commotion caused from Spyro's disappearence had not calmed down even by a little touch. All of the Skylanders were extremely worried l. However Stealth Elf and Cynder had cool heads. And some people were starting to blame them for Spyro's disappearence. Especially because they wouldn't tell anyone why they had such cool heads about the situation. But also because of what Spyro inadvertently did to them when he was evil. Some people thought they wanted revenge. However the reason for them both having such cool heads was that they both thought that the message in the sky 'Skylanders Forever' was written by Spyro for his friends as his goodbye. While they were mad at him for not saying goodbye in person they still hoped he was alright. They also sincerely hoped they were right about the message and it's meaning.

As Spyro and Eon got closer to the new island they both noticed the magical energy getting stronger so strong in fact that Eon could cast the most magically demanding spell he knows and still not be drained a tiny bit.

As they landed on a platform outside what looked like a stone castle, they realised how old yet somehow new the building looked. The castle had a gateway with 2 large sturdy looking wooden gates, with 2 vast stone towers bordering them. The castle was surrounded by rocks with strange blue markings on them. The rocks themselves also faintly glowed blue.

Suddenly a figure appeared in the gateway. The figure was about 8 feet tall, slender, looking about 30 and wearing black and blue robes. He had gleaming white hair streamlined back and He started to walk towards them and a small smirk appeared on his face accompanied by a welcoming look at Eon and an inquisitive look at Spyro that got more profound the closer he walked to them. They also noticed his feet floated slightly off the ground never once touching it as if he was walking on a cloud.

He called out " Hey Eon, hey weirdly familiar dragon", his voice was cold and had a hint of a echo after he spoke although he sounded welcoming. " Hey Avatar" Eon called back " how are you keeping?" " Oh I'm only perpetually stuck here guarding an interdimensional portal to a land full of dragons! So nothing's changed". He replied in a sarcastic but weirdly cold voice. " Suppose you've come here to see the dragons? If you are I'll need to know who your dragon friend is". " Well we're here to see 2 particular dragons and this is Spyro".
" Hey man " Spyro said glad to finally be getting a word in on the conversation. However at the mention of Spyro's name The Avatar's expression on his face turned from warm and welcoming to cold inquisitiveness and then to downright hatred and malice. " I told you Eon to never bring him here. And because he's here I'm not going to let you into the portal". "Please will you let us in?" begged Eon. "NO!! I will not let either of you in" he said sternly. "Why? Why won't you let us in to meet my parents?" Spyro chipped in, on the verge of tears as after traveling for weeks and being so close to them only to be stopped at the last stretch. However the look on The Avatar's face changed back to cold inquisitiveness and he eyed them both suspiciously. He finally said " You don't know? Eon never told you? The fact that your the most powerful dragon ever to have lived?" He asked questions written all over his face. " What?!?!" Spyro asked confusion etching it's way through Spyro's whole body while at the same time a worried look briefly appeared on Eon's face before disappearing as soon as Spyro looked at him only making Spyro's confusion more evident. " I think that if Eon hasn't told you then it's high time you know don't you think? Follow me. It's time for you to learn of your true strength, the prophecy and what we did to you to keep you safe" he said as he made his way back up the stairs as Eon followed. He beconed for Spyro to follow and he did though the confusion only grew the longer he was left in the dark about this. As soon as he was inside the castle the gates closed. " Make yourselves comfortable" said The Avatar with a slight hint of annoyance.
