Ch. 13: April Fools PT. 1

A/n: (I apologize in advance for his long this authors note will be) Before I start this chapter I have a couple things I wanna clear up. Firstly, I've gotten comments saying "we're 11" and such when Fred is being on the more flirty side of things. I'd like to say that yes they are 11 and nothing will happen until a little bit further into the book but the reason I'm making Fred be flirty already is because well, I have two younger siblings personally and as for the twins they have three older brothers(Bill, Charlie, and Percy) so I imagine that, growing up, they looked up to them since they're the older siblings(and, speaking from experience with my two sisters, younger siblings typically look up to their older ones) so they had picked up and learned some things so I'm having him flirt already as just a joke and an 11 year old's attempt at flirting because he saw his brothers doing so, as I said that's just how I personally am imagining things, because not only do younger siblings look up to their older ones but it also shows they have a very good bond which is amazing. Now next thing I want to address then I'll let you all go on with the chapter, we've had a massive time skip from the last chapter so it's now the twins birthday woo🥳 anyways, y/n has met Tonks already and they have become pretty good friends(plus y/n has managed to master her metamorphmagus side) so yeah, it's a jump but I managed to recover from my block after rereading my previous chapter so yes- you and the boys have grown closer as well as you and a few other friends so yeah, I hope you enjoy this chapter and thank you all so much for the 3.68k reads now, ON WITH THE CHAPTER!

~Y/n's POV~

I woke up before my alarm, which was odd but I accepted it anyway. I stood and headed for the bathroom to take a quick shower and get dressed and ready to go. About halfway through my shower I heard my alarm go off and a groan from Angelina, I quickly finished and got out, changing and drying my hair as I walked over to my bed.

"Morning y/n" Angelina said with a yawn, to which I returned with a smile.

"Good morning, it's the twins birthday today, do we wanna go to breakfast first or bother them with happy birthdays?"

"Breakfast, obviously" Angelina rolled her eyes and changed, going to brush her hair. I finished drying my hair and quickly brushed it, then brushed my teeth. About the time I finished brushing my teeth, Angelina and Alicia were both up and ready so we made our way to the Great hall.

When we entered the great hall we saw the boys, which was shocking since we were usually there before them, they seemed to be scheming and quickly stopped talking when we sat down.

"Morning ladies." Fred said nonchalantly while George waved.

"Morning, happy birthday you two," I simply say in response and started putting some food on my plate.

"Thanks." Georgie responded shortly. Okay... somethings going on here.

We quietly ate, the atmosphere seemed tense. Almost like we weren't welcome there by the boys, which was weird. I know we would be leaving for spring break today so I wasn't surprised when the boys didn't receive anything with the post. I had asked my mum if I could stay with the Weasleys for the first week since the boys' birthday was the first day of the first week, to which she said yes surprisingly.

Once everyone had finished breakfast we all headed back to the common room to pack the last minute things before we would leave, talking amongst ourselves. Well more like Alicia, Angelina, and I talked while Lee, George, and Fred walked a little ways behind us and spoke in hushed voices. We made our way inside the common room and the girls immediately went upstairs while I stood still, waiting for the boys with crossed arms. Something was up and I was gonna find out what. Moments later the portrait opens and in steps the boys, Fred first, then Lee, then George. I looked at the three with narrowed eyes and they stared back.

"Uh... hey?" Fred was the first to speak up, confusion obvious in his voice.

"Wanna tell me why you three have been so uninviting and secretive this morning? Cause uh.. we all three noticed." I say, referring to Alicia and Angelina as well as myself.

Lee cautiously looked between the twins and slowly stepped back before rushing up the stairs to their room.

Fred watched Lee in disbelief while George decided to speak, obviously a bit nervous, "eh? Wh-what are you talking about? We're not doing anything.?"

"Uh huhhh sure. Well. If I don't find out today I'm sure I'll find out sometime this week since I'm staying with you all for the week" I pushed my hair off my shoulder and turned on my heel, walking up the stairs to my room to finish packing, feeling the twins' eyes bore into the back of my head.

**TIME SKIP TO THE TRAIN RIDE AND STATION**

So, I may have been still annoyed with the twins for lying to me about not doing anything and ended up sitting with Tonks and the other girls despite her being a Slytherin but ya know... it's fine. The boys I'm assuming took up a random compartment but I didn't really care. We all sat in our compartment and joked around until we reached kings cross where we said our goodbyes and parted ways.

Standing on my tip toes, trying to see over other people as I walked was a little uncomfortable but I eventually found my mum and the Weasleys. There was an unfamiliar man with red hair who both Fred and George hugged. I didn't know him so maybe it was like an uncle or something? I shrugged it off and turned, hugging my mum.

"It's nice to see you mum, how have you been?" I asked once I pulled away.

"I've been well, so has Aria" my mum looked down at me with a smile and Aria kicked me from inside mums stomach, it was April and Aria was due in June so we only had two months to go.

"That's great to hear. I'm still clear to stay with the Weasleys for the week right?"

"Yep, all clear, Molly is fine with it too"

At the mention of her name, Molly had turned and enveloped me in a warm hug, to which I returned with a soft laugh.

"Hi Mrs. Weasley" I greet once I'm let go.

"Hello dear! I'm excited to have you stay for the week, although I think Ginny is more excited" she whispered the last part and stood straight, "I don't think you've met Bill yet. Come come I'll introduce you two" she said as she placed a hand on my back and guided me over to the unfamiliar red head who looked down at me.

"Hello there, names Bill, Bill Weasley" he held out his hand for me to shake, which I took and gently shook.

"Y/n.. Y/n l/n" I smiled as I shook his hand, "so are you an uncle orrr?"

He chuckled, "no no, I'm the oldest brother. I work at Gringotts in Egypt. I'm terribly sorry I wasn't here when you met everyone else."

"Oh.. that's cool! All the way in Egypt? Wow" I stared up at the guy in awe, he was like a giant compared to me. I was so mesmerized and shocked that I hadn't noticed Fred and George come up behind me to talk to Bill until I felt one of them place a hand on my shoulder. It startled me and without thinking I grabbed the persons wrist and threw him over my shoulder, pinning him to the ground with my knee as I pulled his arm back. Thank you self defense classes! When I heard a groan from under me and a laugh beside me I looked down and realized who it was, immediately jumping off and helping him up.

"George! oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't realize it was you, are you okay? Anything broken?" I rushed out as I scanned him for injuries.

"No no y/n/n it's okay I probably startled you I'm fine really." George smiled at me as he reassured me, then glared at Fred who was on the floor, dying of laughter.

"George got his arse whooped by y/n!" He managed to say between his laughing, George just rolled his eyes.

"Fred! Language!" I heard Mrs. Weasley yell from a few feet behind me.

"Sorry mum" he yelled in response.

With that everyone started heading off to the Burrow since mum wanted to visit before leaving me alone for a week.
