The time had come.. the Love on Tour concert.. every single person's dream came true. Madi and Hannah were so excited to go to Amalie Arena to see Harry perform. They had been fans since the X Factor days and were so excited for the fan project they were a part of. Being in Watermelon Pit was a dream come true for Madi. The 3 day wait outside in the Florida heat was not how everyone would want to start out their day, but for Madi this was what her whole August was planned around.
~3 Days before Love On Tour~
"Hannah if you don't hurry the fuck up I might actually beat your ass!" I yelled to Hannah still trying to find her portable charger
"Dude I love him too, but if my phone is dead during Fine Line I may actually kill someone." Hannah said right back
"Okay okay fine, do you have everything else? My dad is bringing out sleeping bags and such because we can't take them into the arena, I packed water and snacks. Think we can order a pizza while waiting in line?" I ask Hannah
"If not your dad can always go get one and bring it to us, I'm pretty sure he's staying every night with us because he doesn't rust us alone out here." Hannah says
"I mean why not, Tampa is just such a perfect city. The hobos, the gangs, and besides these security guards have our backs." I tell Hannah
"Yeah I'm just happy your dad was nice enough to watch over us, we may be older than everyone here, but man do I trust him beating up someone over these security guards." Hannah says
I had to practically force Hannah into my car to start driving to my dads house. From campus it's about a 20 minute drive and the arena is a quick walk from his house. I decide to take the highway and put my windows down and turn the playlist all the way up. Of course Medicine was playing first and I needed Hannah to learn every word so I don't have to call her a local. She does know a lot for just starting to listen to Harry, but having to introduce her to One Direction was so hard. Kevin, she did not understand one bit so we had to work a lot harder on those jokes. We pulled into my dad's driveway and grabbed a couple of things to bring inside, it's about 7am and we wanted to get to the arena at 9 so we could save a seat. My dad had chickfila sitting on the counter and I yelled upstairs for him "Hey Dad! Hannah and I are here, is this food for us?", a couple second later I heard "Yeah eat up, I am just finishing up these papers." He yelled back down to us.
"MMHHMMMMM Chicken Minis I love chicken minis, I'm pretty sure if they could they would impregnate me and I wouldn't be mad about it." Hannah says
"Jeez Han, slow down before you throw up the chicken minis." I tell her
"I just, how could they not serve these all day, like, I need them after we go to Pike." Hannah says
"Omg wine night with the girls featuring chicken minis, that's a vibe I could get behind." I say to her
We begin to munch down, waiting for my dad to finish up his work to head out. Hannah eats a total of 16 minis and I am worried she may actually throw up later today on the sidewalk, but hey what do I know she's the nursing student.
"Hey girls, nice to see you Hannah, how's your folks? Looks like the food was nice?" My dad, Aaron asks Hannah
"Good Mr.Aaron, very very good, they miss your barbecues though." Hannah says to my dad meanwhile I'm chopping down on some hash browns
"Ahh the good ole days, remember how fun those games were. Horseshoes and badminton, too bad you girls are too old for them now." My dad tells Hannah
"Dad, we are never too old for burgers and badminton." I said while rolling my eyes and shoving another has brown into my mouth.
"Maybe we can do it again, I will think about it, I'm heading to Seattle next weekend so may be in a while." He questionably asks
"I am always down for free food, college takes all my money" Hannah says
Hannah and I met in elementary school. The very first day of Kindergarten because we wore the same shoes. We both obviously have very good taste. Growing up her parents loved coming over to my house to eat, play, and just have fun. When my parents got divorced when I was in 3rd grade her parents were here for me and I loved it. I didn't really understand what divorced parents would mean until my mom left Florida and moved to Chicago. She loves it there and sends pictures of her and her boyfriend, but I am a Florida girl so visiting them is a twice a year thing. It was hard when she left, but Hannah made it easier and ever since we have just connected. We went to the same middle school and had braces together. We went to the same high school and got boobs together. We even had our first kisses on the same night freshman year while spinning the bottle. Sadly, it wasn't the same guy, but they were friends too, so it was kinda cool. Hannah is like my sister. We can never go a day without each other. When she got into USF Nursing I knew there was no other school I needed to apply to. Her parents aren't the richest but they do everything for her. She is the youngest of 3, but her brother is 10 years older, and her sister is 7 years older than her, so they never grew up together. People did think her brother Jack, was our dad when he took us out and that was pretty funny.
We clean up our meals and grab everything out of the car and begin the walk to Amelie Arena. It is a good 10 minutes, but that's better than the $50 to park. We walk past people who have already set up, and luckily it's only 10 or so people. We put our things down and set in for a bit.
It's going to be a long 3 days.
