It was late at night, later than Bakugou would normally be awake, but he had promised to Kirishima that they could hang out a bit after he finished his homework. The blond just had to be patient and wait, but his restlessness got the better of him and he began pacing. A scowl pushed on to his face as he ended up in front of his mirror, staring at it intently for what felt like the hundredth time that day. He cursed at the image that stared back at him, eyes catching on each curve and rounded edge, nothing like how he wished he could present.
He noticed the rounded, feminine face, followed by the way his waist curved inward into an hourglass shape, leading into his hips and thighs. Dear Lord how he hated his hips and thighs they curved like outer edge of a banana. His eyebrows creased as he focused in on his chest, feeling somewhat comforted by the tight piece of fabric that was compressing what he dared to envision as oversized pecs. His binder was beginning to stretch out, he made a mental note to order a new one soon.
Just as his thoughts were about to get darker, a knock interrupted from the other side of his door, followed by a hushed "It's Kirishima!"
He turned on his heel and sped toward his bedroom door, wiping it open to reveal the entire reason he was awake at this time, the bane of his existence, the adorably annoying love of his life.
"Sorry my homework took so long," he whispered with a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth, his hand raising to scratch the back of his neck in embarrassment. "I got stuck on a few problems."
"You could have just asked me for help, idiot." Bakugou spat, intending to be loving, as he walked across the room and sat on his bed, leaving Kirishima to let himself in and shut the door.
Kirishima wasted no time in eyeing the man he was lucky enough to call his boyfriend before his eyes caught on a familiar piece of thin white fabric poking out from under the neck line of his shirt. "Are you still wearing your binder?" he asked innocently, but slightly concerned.
Bakugou stiffened, knowing he got caught. He had worn it all day, other than training, of course, but he knew he had overdone it today. He scowled again before meeting his lover's eyes, not bothering to give a verbal answer.
"Katsuki, it's been, what, thirteen hours? Take it off. I'll leave the room if you want me to."
"No..."
"Yes, Babe, it isn't healthy. You know that. You could ruin your ability to keep wearing them or even get surgery one day. I don't want to see you upset because you can't get top surgery. This isn't something to take lightly, Love." He waltzed over to Bakugou's bed as he lectured him, taking a seat and moving to cup the other's cheek.
Bakugou quickly swatted his hand away before growling out, "Don't call me that!" Kirishima shrunk back slightly in surprise, causing Bakugou to relax a bit. "Fine, I'll take it off. You can just turn around or something, I don't care." He stomped over to his dresser, not-so-calmly ripping his shirt off before changing into a hoodie, rolling his shoulders and coughing a few times to loosen any fluid build-up in his lungs.
He pattered over to his partner, who was unaware he had finished changing, and promptly pressed his forehead into the other's back, resting his head while wrapping his arms around the redhead's waist.
"Katsuki... come on." He led the other over to his bed where they lied in each other's arms, Bakugou's face pressed into the crook of Kirishima's neck. "I know it isn't easy," he took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to comfort his boyfriend, "but you're going to be okay. I'm sorry I don't know better ways to help; I'm not you, I don't always know how you think or feel, but, Babe, I'm doing my best, okay? I'm still going to do my best to be there for you. Please just remember that no matter what those mean thoughts tell you, you're still the manliest man I know. I love you, my big strong man," He cooed, pressing a light kiss to the other's forehead, who averted his eyes grumpily.
"Whatever... thanks, I guess." Bakugou huffed, secretly enjoying the reaffirmations. "You're such a sap."
"But you love me!" The positive energy radiated from the easily-excitable boy as he pumped a fist in the air, before his face was immediately met with a pillow shoved over it.
"You can't prove anything!" Bakugou screeched.
