Chapter 1

"Welcome back, Miss Kath". pagsalubong sa'kin ng isang maid.

"Yaya, where's Mom and Dad?" I threw my Chanel shoulder bag on the sofa in our living room. I took off my Ray Ban sunglasses and looked around the house.

"Nasa dining room po sila, Miss Kath."

"Ok. Please bring my things upstairs. Thank you." and I went to the dining room for a surprise.

"Hi, Mom! Dad!" I hurriedly hugged them, who are currently eating their lunch.

"Kath? You're here. How did you get home?" asked Mom.

"I hired a taxi from the airport."

"Why back so soon?"

"Well, I grew tired of staying in London and I missed you two, so I've decided to come home instead."

"We missed you, too. But you could've at least tell us you're coming. Pinasundo ka sana namin." said Dad.

"I want to surprise you."

"Well, you did. Have you eaten?" I shooked my head.

"Then, seat down and join us for lunch." I sat on my place and Mom put food on it herself.

"After London, where will you go next, sweetheart?" this time, Dad was the one who asked.

"I'll just stay here for now, Dad. Travelling can be really tiring sometimes."

"Whatever you say, princess. Just remember, what you say is what you get."

"I know, Dad."

Being an only child, I get everything I want in just a wink of an eye.

Wala akong kahati.

Wala akong karibal.

Lahat nakukuha ko ng buong-buo.

Lahat ng gusto ko nasusunod.

Yes, I perfectly know what you think of me.

I am indeed a brat.

"Kailan ka umuwi?" tanong sa'kin ni Julienne as soon as she saw me walking towards her.

"About two weeks, I think?" I kissed her cheek.

"That long? And you didn't even bother to tell me? Di ko pa malalaman kung hindi ka pa tumawag just to meet you here in the mall."

"Now, you know. Happy?"

"How mean."

"So, what? Nagtatampo ka sa'kin?"

"Yeah. I'm really mad."

"Oh, stop it. You can't get mad at me." she sighed in defeat.

"I wish I can." then I smiled.

"You can't and you won't because your wrinkles will show." I teased. She pouted. "You know what, let's go to a spa."

"You should treat me. Remember, nagtatampo pa ako."

"Of course! Let's go?"

Pagpasok na pagpasok namin sa spa, may lumapit sa'ming babae at agad kong pinili ang bubble bath.

"Anong pong gusto nyo para sa bubble bath nyo, Mam?"

"Floral pink."

"Yes, Mam." at tinuro nya sa'min ang changing room. Nagpalit kami into towels at pumunta dun matapos nilang i-prepare.

"Maalala ko. How are you and Eric? Are you still going out?"

"Well, Eric and I are not 'Eric and I' anymore."
