Maxerica: After The One

Chapater 1

The wedding was so beautiful, and one of the best moments of my life minus the few times I almost passed out due to the nerves

After the wedding and coronation I was rushed over and given a lighter but elegant dress to wear to the reception. Maxon and I, as required lead the first dance which was so nerve racking, only cause I am such a horrid dancer and the thought of mucking up in front of our hundreds of guest almost killed me but Maxon helped me through it with his reassuring words that he whispered in my ears sending chills down my spine.

After a couple of dancers Maxon and I separated and went to socialise with our guests

the other selection girls were all here and didn't hesitate to ask for all the details on EVERYTHING! Most of the girls brought their new husbands. Kriss came and said her congratulations ever the picture of kindness but i could hear the disappointment in her voice. i noticed that not long into the reception she left with out a goodbye but i couldn't blame her she loved Maxon and he cared for her i would have acted the same.

i was able to invite some of the girls from school even though they weren't really my friends it was nice to have familiar faces around especially with all this madness

I also of course had mum, Kenna, may and Gerard . Even Kota turned up but as usual only because it benefited him. There where some of the richest people in the country here and he took every opportunity he could to advertise his paintings.

Lucy and aspen came to the reception as well but aspen wasn't really able to dance

Marlee was also came to the reception with Carter. Gorgeia and August came. Even princess Nicoletta made an appearance

I couldn't help but wish that Queen Amberly, Celeste and Anne where here as well as all those who we lost in the attack they would have loved this party but I know they are here in sprit and in heart

As I walked around chatting to each group and each person I got a lot of the usual "you looked beautiful congratulations" "you are going to make a great queen" with a lot of semi fake smiles it was exhausting most of the time I wished I could be back dancing , which is saying a lot since i am a terrible dancer

The reception went for at least 4 or more hours it felt like forever! But I would be lying if I said I didn't have fun cause I kind of did... After a few champagnes and cake

Lucy to no-ones surprise caught the bouquet and i for one couldn't think of anyone else in that room who deserved to have as much happiness as me than Lucy, i know Aspen is going to make a wonderful husband.

Maxon after everyone had eaten some cake made a little speech to our guests or should I say 'loyal subjects', saying how grateful he was that everyone came blah blah blah and then announced our exit

I was escorted by my newly wed husband, the love of my life into a limo which took us to the gorgeous cottage in the mountains just out side of the states

The cottage was more like a mini castle (of course), I mean we are now the king and Queen of Illea

It was two stories and had a huge drive way but it seemed so remote, it felt like we were the only people on earth and I loved it

I know Maxon could have gotten a mansion some place near the castle but this place had the most beautiful atmosphere from what I could see out the window and it didn't seem too "huge" which was also a bonus

"Well what do you think?" Maxon asked already knowing my answer

I looked at him in the eyes, those beautiful memorising eyes with the biggest grin on my face and quietly whispered "it's perfect"
