Gotham, like usual was dark and cold. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Well, if you didn't count the criminals and mobsters with the occasional supervillain pooping up, which was actually ordinary if one recalled Gotham's history.

Kakashi was out making his normal rounds of the night. He hadn't come across anything unusual well, except a couple of goons wearing black masks trying to smuggle guns into somewhere. Kakashi didn't really know but he just stopped them like any other criminal. Kakashi sighed as he jumped off another short building and onto the side of a large one. He circulated chakra through his feet as he jumped before running up the building.

Landing on top of the building, he looked at the city below. If one looked deep than he could see the beauty in this place. He honestly thought it was beautiful but, it wasn't his home. It was far from Konoha and he thought better of his village, even with this city's more high-tech establishment.

He had looked things up for dimensions but this world didn't have solid evidence that they existed. Or they weren't public. He really only had one choice if he wanted to get home. The Justice League.

They were really his only hope. They were a team of superheroes and they are the best, well that was what he got from the internet anyway. Still, if there was any chance of him getting back home then he would take it. He didn't really have much to lose regardless of the outcome.

Sighing, he reached into his ninja pouch; pulling out a scroll. He sat down as he unraveled the scroll and bit down on his thumb with just enough force to draw blood. He wiped his blood-stained thumb on the seal before slamming his hand on it.

'Summoning Jutsu!'

With a small puff of smoke, his lunch appeared on top of the seal that was on the middle of the scroll. It wasn't anything to special but it was free. A store clerk had said that he could get something for free every day because he had saved her store from getting robbed all the time. He didn't really want to take it but the woman wouldn't take no for an answer so he just went with it.

He rolled up the scroll as he slipped his mask off before putting his scroll back into his pouch. He clasped his hands together as he closed his eyes. "Itadakimasu." He muttered before taking a bite out of a warm sandwich. It felt nice to eat it since this city was so cold, especially at night. It had also been snowing lately but Kakashi was a shinobi so he was in all kinds of weather for long periods of time. This wasn't the first.

The sandwich was good and Kakashi didn't need much to sustain him. But he knew that he needed a source of income. He wouldn't last on soup and sandwiches forever. He was a shinobi and he exerted more energy than normal people, much more, in fact. In this world, the closest thing to a shinobi was an assassin. And while he had no problem killing, he'd done a lot of that, he would sometimes be contracted to kill innocent people or to kill innocent people if they were unintentionally in the way. That didn't sit right with him. He only ever killed when he had to and he didn't particularly like killing, he just had to do it sometimes.

Well, he had plenty of time to think about that sort of stuff. For all he knew, he could be here for a couple of more days, weeks, months, years, possibly even forever. He really had no way of knowing. And he was used to being without information since he was a shinobi but, this time he couldn't think of a strategy. He just had to leave it up to fate and see where that would bring him. He didn't have much to lose regardless of the result.

Finishing the sandwich, he pulled up his mask before standing up and stretching. He walked to the end of the tall building he was on, watching the bustling city below. He was in Chinatown which was more lively than most parts of the city. But this was apart of his normal routine though he usually wouldn't stop until he made his way to Park Row aka Crime Alley.
