"Taetae, I would like to buys some flowers. We are doing some interior works at the apartment right now." Rin looked at her cousin, while they left the café.
"Lets ask someone, if there is any place nearby." Taehyung replied.
"Excuse me, Ahjusshi! Do you happen to know any nearby flower shops?" Taehyung asked a passerby.
"There is one across the street." The man replied, showing them the direction.
"Thank you!" Taehyung and Rin bowed him politely.
"Shall we go?" Rin looked at Taehyung, who nodded at her.
The bell rang, as Rin opened the door to the shop.
"What may I help you with?" A polite female voice greeted them.
Rin's eyes were all on the flowers till then. She swapped back to reality, saying, "These are beautiful!"
Her eyes rested on the woman who greeted them.
"Mrs... Mrs... Kim!" Evident surprise bloomed on Rin's face. She took an unconscious step back.
Taehyung held her.
"Rin! Long time, my dear! How do you do?" Jin's mother's voice was soft and welcoming.
Rin looked at her, not knowing what to do. She had decided to throw all ties away. But now...
"We are fine, Ma'am! We came to look for some flowers. But I guess, she is not feeling well. We will come later. Excuse us!" Taehyung replied politely.
"No! It's okay. I am fine. Let's look for what we came." Rin interfered.
"Mrs. Kim, do help me with my choices. I am sorry for my impolite conduct." Ri returned a smile and bow.
"Let me help you!" Mrs. Kim wrapped around a warm hand over Rin's shoulder, guiding her through the choices she looked for.
Taehyung looked at the two woman, who were at ease, chatting and discussing over what was the best, on their favourite topics.
How I wish everything was normal! They seem so good together. They would have made perfect in-laws.
Taehyung knew very well, how Mrs. Kim felt for Rin. She was most devastated on hearing the news of her son's breakup. But what happened in the past couldn't be changed. The damage was done.
The bell rang again, marking another entry to the shop.
Taehyung casually turned around. He froze, as he saw the visitor.
It was Jin Hyung!
Thankfully, neither Rin nor Mrs. Kim had noticed the arrival. They were still deeply
Jin saw Taehyung, and greeted him with a smile.
"What are you doing here, Taehyung-ah?" The elder asked.
"Uhm... I just came to buy some flowers with my cousin, Hyung." Taehyung replied, a bit uneasy on foot.
"Wait! I saw you both, today morning, while crossing over at the signal. How come I never saw your cousin before?" A curious Jin recalled.
"Well... She is my distant cousin. Came home for the weekend." Taehyung lied.
"Hmm... She seemed familiar to me. Well, let's go get something, outside." Jin beckoned him.
Jin's eyes trailed to the slender figure near his mom. There was something about her, that confused him.
He couldn't see her face, as it was turned the other way around.
Taehyung thanked his sudden fortune, from preventing their meet up.
He went with Jin, to a nearby restaurant, leaving Rin a message.
"How are you, Hyung?" Taehyung asked.
"I am good, except if all those dreams didn't haunt me." Jin replied with a perplexed expression.
"Dreams?" Taehyung mused.
"Yes! I keep seeing a girl in my dreams. It was as if we were in a relationship and she cheated me. I feel so betrayed. I think I need to see a counsellor." Jin faked a tight smile.
Taehyung on the other hand was sure, it was probably the memory his hyung had been trying to forget for the past three years, that now haunted him, in his dreams.
"Yes, Hyung! That would be good." Taehyung comforted him.
"What about you? Ever told Ae Chan your feelings?" Jin asked.
"I... I... I have no guts to do so. Especially after what all happened. Moreover, it seems we had grown distant in the past few years." Taehyung looked out at the window.
"Don't give up hope! Tell her! Maybe she is waiting to hear it." Jin placed his hand on Taehyung's arm.
Taehyung's phone blared out, as Rin called him.
"Hyung, I have to go! My cousin is waiting." Taehyung prepared to leave with haste.
"I shall accompany you." Jin began to stand up.
"No Hyung! Enjoy your coffee. It's my treat next time." Taehyung smiled, as he left urgently.
Jin's eyes followed Taehyung, through the glass window.
But his eyes soon froze, as the face came in fore.
That girl, he was sure it was the girl from his dreams.
He ran out of the restaurant, hurriedly paying the bill. But just as he got to the spot were they where a moment ago, it was empty. They had left.
Cousin! Taehyung's cousin! I must have known her then. She was the one that came in my dreams. What are everyone trying to hide from me? Are really the empty voids in my memory my imagination or reality that has to be filled? I... I...
Jin swayed as he fell backwards, with an aching head.
