"First who are you? How long have you been watching us?" Virgil asked, his large eyes narrowing.

"My name is Nightingale. I'm a Lunar Unicorn, he/him. We were passing by and my companion here saw you struggling to stand," the darker unicorn explained.

"It was funny though. I'm Fynn, an Aqua unicorn, he/him. Why were you guys having so much trouble standing? Foals stand less than an hour after being born and you guys don't look like foals. You all look to be about two decades old at least," the foal said.

"Fynn, calm down with the questions," Nightingale looked down at the colt at his side.

"Well kiddo we don't really know what's going on. We're kinda lost and very confused," admitted Patton.

"Are you looking for your nomadic herd? 'Cause they're probably following a storm. I'm sure you'll be able to catch them, being a Voltage unicorn," exclaimed Fynn, trotting forwards with his tail held high.

"Well, uhm, you see-" Patton tried to explain.

"We're not from this world, Mr. Nightingale. We're from a different world, where we are apart of a singular human," Logan cut in.

"I see. I suppose you wish to return to your host," said Nightingale, not seeming bothered with the explanation.

"That would be ideal," snorted Janus.

"Then I suggest we venture to the library. The texts there should have something. Firstly, what're your names. I know they're not traditional unicorn names, so what're your human fragment names," asked the unicorn.

"Human fragments?" Roman said, Remus chuckling.

"You said you were apart of a whole human therefore human fragments seems to be a fine descriptor," explained Nightingale.

"Doesn't matter right now kiddo. I'm Patton," Patton gave Fynn a horse equivalent to a smile.

"My name is Logan," said Logan, standing up slightly taller.

"Virgil," Virgil muttered, his ears tucking back.

"Remus," "Roman," The twins said at the same time.

"That leaves me. I'm Janus,"

"Pleasure. Now the library is this way. Follow me and watch where your hooves go. There are plenty of roots to trip on," Nightingale gestured to the forest floor with his muzzle.

"Oh! On the way I can tell you guys all about this place! Like the seven different species, how they work, legends and lore. This'll be so much-" Fynn started, but got cut off by Nightingale.

"Fynn, remember what I said? No talking. Quiet trip," he said, a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Oh alright. If I can't talk then I guess I'll sing!" exclaimed the cold.

"Oh nononono. Fynn no," Nightingake tried to stop the colt, but it was too late.

"Tell everybody I'm on my away! New friends and new places to seeee! With blue sky's ahead, yes, I'm on my way, and there's nowhere else that I'd rather be!" Fynn sung, ignoring Nightingale's attempts to silence him until the stallion sighed and resigned himself to the musical.

Roman's ears snapped up at the (for some reason) Disney song, a grin spreading across his face as he continued the song.

"Tell everybody I'm on my way, and I'm loving every step I take. With the sun beating down, yes, I'm on my way, and I can't keep this smile off my face," Roman sang happily, Fynn grinning back at him with a sparkling in his eyes.

"'Cause there's nothing like seeing each other again, no matter what the distance between. And the stories that we tell will make you smile. Oh it really lifts my heart," Fynn started veering off to the left with Roman Patton and Remus following behind him, Nightingale watching them with eyes that shown they've been through this before. Nightingale's face just said 'yup, same shit as always," even if no words were spoken.

"So tell 'em all I'm on my way. New friends and new places to see, and to sleep under the stars, who could ask for more? With the moon keeping watch over me," Patton soon joined in, making Roman and Fynn smile even more.

"Not the snow, not the rain can change my mind, the sun will come out, wait and see. And the feeling of the wind in your face can lift your heart. Oh there's nowhere I would rather be," continued the little white colt.

"'Cause I'm on my way now-" Roman hummed, marching happily behind Fynn on a trail slightly elevated from the one Nightingale was leading the left brain squad.

Patton and, surprisingly, Remus hummed the tune that had no lyrics, keeping the beat as they walked.

"Well and truly," murmured Remus.

"I'm on my way now," said Fynn before stomping out the beats with his hooves, sliding down the incline to the back of the line following Nightingale, the right brain squad following right after him, though Remus did fall.

"Tell everybody I'm on my way, and I just can't wait to be there! With blue skies ahead, yes, I'm on my way! And nothing but good times to share!" cried Roman with glee.

"So tell everybody I'm on my way, and I just can't wait to be home! With the sun beating down, yes, I'm on my way! And nothing but good times to show! I'm on my way!" Patton sang.

"Yes I'm on my way!" Fynn finished.

"That was agonizing," sighed Nightingale causing Janus and Virgil to chuckle.

"Thankfully we're here," he said just as Fynn was about to start another song.

They all looked around Nightingale to see a large silver weeping willow tree standing before them. And when they say large they mean absolutely massive. It was over forty feet in diameter and well over one hundred in circumference. A large pale purple rounded off door was in the tree trunk and a half circle stain-glass window sat above it. Nightingale trotted forwards, everyone following after him as he opened the door and walked in.

You: did you base Fynn and Nightingale's relationship on Koda and Kenai from Brother Bear?
