Deep breath in. Hold. Out. Repeat.
That's my motto right before a big event. I jumped on my toes and shook my hands to release the tension.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have your favorite champion fighting tonight." I smirked as the crowed cheered and hollered. "Now, for people that don't know her record. She has won, twelve fights and nine championships here! She's been here for two months everyone! The best fighter we have on the streets of Gotham! Now let's get her out here! Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the ring the most amazing and beautiful creature on earth! LadybRed!!"
Taking one last breath and plastering a smile on my face, I ran out into the crowed. I high fives a bunch of people and kissed two guys ok the cheek to gain some extra cash, before taking my place in on of the corners. He introduced the other guy and I was shocked to hear it was a new competitor. He was older, maybe in his late twenties, with brown hair. He had a mask on as well. I was wearing a red tank top and black leggings. He was wearing a all black. Of course he was, that's what all the fighters wear. His name was Black Hoodie. What the hell is a name like Black Hoodie?
The ref rattled off the rules, (that I knew by heart,) before telling us to get into position.
"And—FIGHT!"
As he said those words, Blackie lunged. I dodged and danced around him. Him, throwing multiple punches at my stomach and head. Me, dodging and weaving around them. When I finally figured out his pattern, I attacked.
I threw a punch to his knee, that he favored, and punched him in the face as he fell. When he was in the ground, I pulled him into an armbar and waited. When he finally tapped, I stood and helped him up.
"You did good. Sorry about the knee." I said before turning my back and walking to the red to collect my money. Then shit went down.
"BATFAM!!" Someone shouted. I grabbed the cash, and my stuff, before taking off down the alley. I heard someone following, but I ignored it and ran faster. Till someone tackled me to the ground. We rolled for a second, before I kicked the person in the stomach and stood up in a roll.
"Hey! Stop! I just want to talk!" The man yelled.
"No you don't! You want to arrest me, and I'm sorry but I'm not going to jail. Not after all the shut I went through to escape hell and back." I said before running off. "Oh, and keep the tracker. You can try all you want but it won't work." I said before tossing the tracker back to him and taking off again. When I got home, I stumbled into the living room and collapsed onto the couch.
"Hey, honey. How's it go?" Aunt Ivy asked
I sighed and sat up. "Good. Got at least $150. Got fifty extra for kissing on the cheek." I smirked before stuffing the cash in a compartment. "Bats showed up at the end. The guy I fought was undercover for the Bats, but I still won. I hurt his knee and his pride." I smirked and as I was about to grab some food. The door opened and Robin walked in. Really?!
"Aunt Harley! We have guests!" I called before grabbing some water.
