It Never Happened

 Noah's POV :

Opening my eyes, I recalled the dream I had last night or you may say nightmare, making me shut my eyes..

As usual, after waking up at 7:00AM I did my morning routine and left my room to have breakfast with my family only to see the dining room empty, in fact the whole house was empty making me wonder where everyone was?

Releasing a sigh I got myself a toast and orange juice, soon after finishing my breakfast, I took my backpack and left for football practice on bicycle.

As soon as I reached there, I could see the slightly wet grass and some children playing making me smile.

Looking around for my teammates I see none of them were present making me shrug and start my practice alone..

After about two hours I completed my daily practice to go for my part time shift at Bella's ice cream spot.

As soon as I started my ride on bicycle with full speed, a car zoom past me making me fall on road and letting out a scream when I saw a truck coming pretty fast exactly in my direction.

I tried getting up hurriedly but the truck was fast to injure my leg, leaving me in a mess.

Struggling with pain I anyhow reached Bella's ice cream spot and started my shift with throbbing leg making me wince in pain every now and then.

As soon as my shift was over I went straight to my friends as he is a medical student, to get myself treated!

After ringing bell almost 20 times I reached to a conclusion that he isn't home and I have to unwillingly go to doctor..

Standing in front of hospital reminded me of time when I was here for my grandma, shaking my head to clear the thoughts I entered the hospital to get my leg treated..

Leaving the place after paying for my medication I got on my bicycle inspite of doctor advising to avoid using this vehicle. Even after having injured leg I made my way home..

Frowning as I saw my neighbors standing in our porch I left the bicycle and ran inside slightly stumbling due to the pain..

As soon as I reached the door I saw 3 coffins and sympathy in my relatives eyes.

I jumped on bed as I heard my alarm went off.

Getting up from bed I did my morning routine and went down stairs only to freeze as soon as I reached dining room which was empty exactly like my nightmare.

Calling mom, dad and my younger sister - Ashley multiple times I looked around for breakfast but didn't had courage to take orange juice from refrigerator..

After passing an hour thinking if it's just a coincidence I gathered up courage to go for my football practice.

I almost fell from my bicycle when I noticed none of my teammates were present making my eyes widen.

Slowly entering the ground I started my practice but couldn't do it as I do usually.

Seeing I have another half an hour to start my shift at Bella's ice cream spot, I decided to have breakfast first.

I took a sandwich from nearby and had it once I reached at Bella's and started my shift.. It was nothing like my nightmare anymore.. No injured leg thank god but the ice cream spot was pretty full making me tired by the end of my shift.

Getting on my bicycle, I made my way home with a smile, only to have a truck zoom past me making me fall on ground groaning as I hit my leg with a rock.

Reaching for the nearest hospital I got my leg treated and left the hospital as soon as I can.

"These things are just messing my mind" Repeating that again and again I made my way home.

As I was nearing my house I could see small group of people gathered making my eyes widen and halt my actions..

I didn't had any courage to proceed further..

Wiping my tears making me realise I shed few. I left bicycle there and slowly made my way home without listening anyone or looking into anyone's eyes..

Praying for everything to be normal I turned the doorknob and shut my eyes tightly just to hear.

"SURPRISE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

Making me release my breathe which I didn't know I was holding and open my eyes with a smile..
