Chapter 4: Unplanned Incident

Cole's POV

"Hey, Kiddo what are your plans for the weekend?", Dad asks and places chocolate cookies on the table, and sits beside me.

"I am just gonna, spend my day by completing my new story", I tell him, and take break from writing story, to eat chocolate cookies, my Dad is the best chef, and his chocolate cookies are always mouth watering.

"Cole, sometimes you should go out also, by taking break from writing stories and reading books", he lightly tells me, and takes a cookie from the plate.

I don't spend my weekend like other teenagers, I spend my weekend by reading my favorite novels and completing my story which I was fantasizing the whole week.

"But Dad, you know right, I am not good at socializing and communicating", I don't know why, God forgot to give me socializing and communication skills.

"Yeah, but son you have to try to socialize to people, and you have to communicate to them the way you communicate with me and Sarah", Dad tells me, like it is so easy to communicate and socialize to people.

But it is not easy for me, because first I don't have good looks, I am an average looking guy, and secondly I wear specs, and it's kind of universal fact that all nerds wear specs, so when people see me, they find out instantly that I am nerd and people don't like nerds, so they ignore me.

"Dad, I am okay to stay home at weekend, and today is our Lasagna night, so why I will go out to hang out with some people, while I can eat world's best lasagna at home", I try to change the topic.

"Okay", he smiles and leaves in the kitchen, he must have got that I don't want to talk more about my communication and socializing skills.

Sarah comes from her room, with cellphone in her right hand, "Dad! You gave all chocolate cookies to Cole", she says dramatically.

"The Chocolate cookies are for both of you", Dad says from the kitchen.

Sarah sits next to me, and takes a chocolate cookie, and looks at her cellphone screen.

"Today is Ray's Birthday", she looks at mobile screen in amazement.

"What?"

"See, Luna have posted a couple pic, on her Instagram with caption 'Happy birthday Love' ", she shows me her cellphone.

Ray Wright the Golden Boy of Rovera High school, every girl from the school are mesmerized by his looks, and most importantly he is Luna's boyfriend which makes him more popular in school.

"So what?", I shrug.

"You know his parents throw a big and lavish parent every year on his birthday", she tells me.

"Of course they will throw a big and lavish party for their only son because they are rich", Ray is maybe handsome and charming, but he is a spoiled brat, who don't know how to treat people, many times he has bullied me and insulted me in school for being a nerd.

"Yeah, he is lucky that his parents are rich", Sarah says and takes the last chocolate cookie from the plate.

Ray is indeed lucky, but not because that his parents are rich, he is lucky because Luna loves her.

Luna's POV

Last night was horrible, Ray behaved so badly with me, it was like, he was not Ray whom I knew since elementary school if was someone else last night.

I cried the whole night on my bed, and because of that I woke up late today, and in all my drama with Ray, I forgot that I promised his parents that I would organize Ray's birthday party. So to solve this problem I called Britney, and I told her to organize a birthday party of Ray for me, with other cheerleaders.

"Britney all preparations are done?", I ask as I enter the livingroom of Wright Mansion.

I came here after watching two continuous episodes of gossip girl, watching gossip girl always makes forgot all my problem, so I decided to come here to check on Britney and also I wanted to talk to Ray about last night, and I hope that he is in good mood now, so that we can talk without fighting.

"Yeah, everything is done", Britney comes near me, " Oh my God!, Luna what happened to your eyes? they are all red", she says looking at me.

"I and my eyes are fine, it just my allergies making them red", I lie, I tried to hide the redness of my eyes with makeup, but maybe no makeup can hide my pain.

"Where is Ray?", I ask.

"He is gone out, with his friends" she tells me.

I look around, the livingroom, decorated with white lilies.

Wait a minute white lilies?

Oh my God!

"Britney", I yell, "are you that dumb, that you don't know the difference between white lilies and white orchids?"

"What?"

"I told you specifically, do the decoration with Ray's favorite flowers that are white orchids not white lilies"

"I am re really sorry Luna", she stammers.

"Go right now, and bring white orchids, and change this, white lilies decoration", I point towards lilies.

"Okay", she says and leaves.

Britney is really so dumb, and she can't do anything properly, I think God forgot to give her brain.

"Hey, you the girl in that brown hideous skirt", I call for the girl, who is setting table, I know her, she is one of the cheerleaders, but I don't know her name.

"Me?", she asks looking around her.

"Yes you, come with me, to Ray's room and help me to decorate his room", I will decorate Ray's room, so after the party we can spend some quality time, and I am sure after he sees, how I organized his birthday party alone, he will definitely forgive me.

"Come fast", I tell her, and I walk towards Ray's room.

I have decorated Ray's room with balloons, and I also placed the candles, which I will light later on, when Ray and I will be alone, the only thing that is missing here is, Ray's favorite flowers white Orchids.

"Hey, go and check if Britney has brought white orchids", I tell the hideous skirt girl.

She nods and walks to the door.

"Wait, I will go and see, and I have to also check if the birthday cake is ready ", I tell her and walks out of the room.

Wright Mansion is huge like the castle, and Ray's room is on the first floor, and the living room is downstairs.

I take one step down the stairs, and my right foot gets tangled with my left foot, and I fall from one stair to another then to another.

I open my eyes and, my left leg is extended, and it is cast in white plaster, my right hand is also cast in white plaster and this plaster has covered my elbow also, and my hand is placed on the pillow, and the pillow is placed half on my stomach and half on the bed, and I am wearing baby blue color, hideous looking gown.

I look around and it strikes my mind, that this is a hospital, I think I am having a nightmare, if this is not a nightmare, about me laying in a hospital bed, then my life has turned into a nightmare.
