It's 2020 and I have recently joined discord. I'm familiar with the layout and my tab section doesn't seem have any servers. I hop on youtube for whatever reason, to try and find some videos explaining the functions and servers recommended to join.

*time skip*

Me and my friend have been scammed. In order to actually win the "scam" we feel for, we needed to advertise servers. There was at least a dozen so, curiously, we only joined one. That server ended up changing my entire life.

The server was a simplistic one, maybe even stupid looking with little to no effort put into it, but it did the job. It was made for only a single purpose. To provide support for a streamer's chat. I was tired of fame deprived streams and I thought this one was no different. I pay no attention to it and continued on with my day since I wasn't one for streaming with few exceptions. For some reason, I didn't leave and a never ending curiousness made me check it out. The streamer was a 14 year old with a deep voice. He was streaming minecraft while building a castle. I thought his build skills were really good so I took my chance and began to type in the black colored chat all kinds of stuff. Immediately, he responded, entertaining me for a while.

We ended up conversing throughout that whole stream. Though, it doesn't seem much, this would end up in weeks of everyday streaming and chatting slowly forming a somewhat bond. I was happy with this development and decided to actually be helpful and apply for mod. It all went well and I became one of his most active viewers for the whole summer.

We had a couple fights, as all friendships. One day, like usual, I was being stubborn, so he took the chance to mess with me and demote me. Demolished, I didn't expect this reaction and I quickly tried to earn my trust again.

He used to stream on mixer. A streaming platform hosted by facebook. It was very popular in 2018 with all sorts of streamers like Ninja. He used to be there aswell. He ended up with a following of 300. All well earned and active, with little to no toxicity . All good things have to end at some point, though. He realized he'll need to move to either Twitch or Youtube because of the sudden shut down of Mixer. Twitch was more prepared for this big gathering of new streamers and way more welcoming.

He set up his channel and quickly made his last stream on Mixer. That was his last stream for months. Our friendship fell as we didn't have a common item anymore and so, we stopped speaking. Our story seemed to come to an end .

A/N: this will follow my experience meeting with my friends. If the writing sucks, It's because it's my first time ever writing, so please keep that in mind. Thank you for reading!
