I've been in a constant state of writers block for the past six months and it's frustrating but then I watched Tommy's Doomsday stream and I wrote this in under 15 minutes. That's how inspiration works, I guess. I don't even write poetry.

Anyways, hope you enjoy.

--------------

With and arrow and a bow
He stands tall and proud
Facing away from his foe
He hears his friends shout

A cry of dismay
A desperate plea
Don't do it Tommy
We'll never be free

The battle is lost
The city destroyed
It's not worth a life
For a dying cause

But he has to do it
If not for his pride
For his nation, his friends,
the people who care

There's nothing to lose
They've already lost
This could mark the difference
Between victory and loss

"Independence or death"
He thinks to himself
There's no other option
His fate is set

One deep breath
Ten paces ahead
The count down starts
There's no turning back

As they reach one
They turn with a start
And fire their weapons
To each other's hearts

Time slows down
Everything goes silent
The world holds its breath
As they watch what just happened

An arrow of steel
Hits right on it's target
The boy falls to his knees
As everything grows darker

With one final breath
He utters two words
He looks at his family
A smile in the works

"I'm sorry"

He was only sixteen
But his mind was older
His Dreams of greatness
Led him straight to the slaughter

And of course it wouldn't be a poem about L'manberg without a Hamilton reference.

This has been Nightmare
Take it easy people and goodbye
