Warm sunlight streamed through the curtains and settled on your face, prompting you to wake up.

Wooyoung had taken you out to dinner last night, and after eating too many appetizers and drinking one too many cocktails, you passed out as soon as your head hit the pillow.

You stretched your legs as you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes, gently rolling over to face your boyfriend. However, there was only empty space where he was meant to be.

"Woo?" you mumbled disappointedly, sleep evident in your voice.

Out of the blue, the clang of a pan and a string of creative curses sounded from outside your bedroom.

"Wha- woah! fuck, fuck, fuck-" you faintly heard your boyfriend swear. You could smell smoke, and noted the fogginess of the air in the hallways. You swung your legs to the side of the bed, and sniffed the air again.

Did he burn something?

"Wooyoung?" you called and hurried to the kitchen, "Are you okay, baby?"

Peeking from behind the kitchen doorframe, you were met with chaos you hadn't anticipated.

What used to be eggs was now a black mass feeding a fire that was far too intimidating for you to know how to put out. It was too scary to put out with a dishrag and too hot to chuck into the sink.

You turned to Wooyoung who seemed to be stuck in place; he didn't know what to do about it either.

"Woo, what are you doing? The eggs are on fire!" you yelled at his frozen figure.

"Yeah, you think so? They look fine to me." he sarcastically chuckled back, eyes wide.

You were both at a loss of words, while the fire continued to spew from the pan. As if a lightbulb had gone off in his head, Wooyoung jerked his head toward the sink and rushed to open a cupboard beneath it.

"Extinguisher...red..." he muttered. "Where the hell- ah!" He emerged with a fire extinguisher and aimed it towards the pan.

He squeezed the handle, but nothing happened no matter how hard he tried.

"The pin! Pull the pin out first!" you exclaimed, frustrated. You kept your distance out of fear that you'd be caught in the white clouds of the extinguisher.

Finally, Wooyoung figured out the "dumbass chunk of metal" and suffocated the fire with thick clouds until it disappeared. Your breathy pants filled the air as you were both out of breath from panicking and yelling, and you let out a sigh of relief.

Wooyoung broke the silence.

"Why'd you make me put it out?" he whined.

"You were the one who started it! You might as well put it out too."

"I'm always the responsible one..."

"You literally set the eggs on fire, Woo."

"Yes, and I take responsibility for that," cockiness laced his tone.

"You're unbelievable," you concluded, suddenly struggling to hide a fond smile. He may have been an idiot, but he was your idiot.

"Unbelievably handsome, you mean," he added with a smirk. You turned to walk back to your shared bedroom.

"Get dressed, we're going out for brunch." You titter.

"Yes, ma'am," he chuckled, chasing after you.
