Unexpected Soulmates

Chapter 3

Amara POV 

   Running through the woods, why did I run but I have already committed to it. Making it to the river, look at my reflection in the water. My hair is messy, dress ruined. I hear footsteps behind me, "Elijah I'm sorry I run like that. I know I have to go back."

   "So that's his name" that is a female voice turning around, I see her my mate. I am flabbergasted right now, everything in me is telling me to go to her but I am scared. I wanted my mate to be a girl, that is what I got so why am I scared. "Want to talk about why you ran back there, is it because I am a girl." 

   "No I wanted you to be a girl, I mean I really did. Just never thought it would actually happen, so when I saw you panic set in." I step closer to her, she is just out of reach. 

   "Well that is a relief, I wouldn't have cared if my mate was a boy or a girl. Standing here right now looking at you, I can say I am not disappointed. She takes my hand in hers, looking in her eyes there is a calmness in them. She leans down and kisses me, my whole body lit on fire. Both figuratively and literally. Luckily she jumped away in time. She looks at me in amazement, just as it started it stopped. 

   "Fellon was your Father Wesley Fellon?" Shaking my head, her face lights up. "I can't believe I just put to and to together, your father is a legend. When our Pack was attacked by Rogues your father 18 and 24 rogues all by himself. He had telepathy using that to know their next move, and getting in their heads." He never told me that "you didn't know?" 

   "No I guess he never got to tell me" her face falls "no, no it's okay I am glad I got to know." She comes closer to me again. "Don't think that is a good idea." I let out a laugh. 

   "Don't worry I'm not going to kiss, but we definitely need to get these powers of yours, under control." She puts her hand on my face. "My name is Ravenna Snow, your friend told me your name is Amara." 

   "Yeah wait, Snow as in Amory Snow Alpha of Royal Pack?" You have got to be joking. 

   "Yeah and I am next in line for Alpha" wait she is next in line so that means I am going to be Luna. No, no they are not going to like this. We are two girls which means we can't have kids which means no pups. I step away from her and she grabs me back. 

   "You are going to be Alpha, which means I am going to be Luna. That couple needs to be able to reproduce, your Pack is going to freak out." I look down at my feet. 

   "Look I know that this isn't going to be easy okay, that some people are not going to like it but I want this. I know you want it to, the way you react when I touch you. Let's go back and face this together." We walk hand in hand back to my house, waiting by the side door is Elijah, and a girl. "Rue" the girl turns to us. 

   "Rav oh goodness you two are back" she gives both of us a hug. "You are stunning" she says to me, and I blush. 

   "Okay ladies I am going to tell your mom to come out here. That way we can do this right okay." He starts to walk away. 

   "I will come with you" Rue says following behind him. It didn't take them long before I see my Mom. 

   "Sweetheart what happened to you, you look like you have been running in the woods." Because I have been running in the woods. 

   "I have found my Mate mom, and she is right here." I hold onto her hand, as if my life depended on it." She is silent for a second, which makes me nervous. Then she gives me a hug, wasn't expecting that. 

   "I am just happy that you have your Mate sweetie. Ever since you were born, it makes no difference to me if they are a boy or girl." She lets me go, and looks at Ravenna "as long as she treats you right because I my, not be a Royal, or an Alpha. What I am is a Mother that loves her child, got it." Ravenna looks absolutely terrified. 

   "Yes ma'am I will treat her right I promise." Mom stares at her for a little longer before hugging her too. Elijah clears his throat, we all turn him. 

   "So Amara I have news for you" he grabbed Rue's hand and he didn't have to say another word. 

"Oh my Goddness I am go happy for you guys." Ravenna gives her friend a hug while I go for Elijah. This is a blessing, that are friends are mates. 

Elijah POV

   Watching her take off to Amara, I hope things go well for them. "Ravenna what" rose, tulips consume me. Turning to see a flower blooming,  standing right in front of me. She stops and looks at me, her dark blue eyes goddess blessed me. 

   "My name is Rue Aalto " perfect, just perfect. 

   "My name is Elijah Bachus" cupping her face in my hands. "How are you even real" she lets out a small laugh. 

   "I could say the same about you. Wait why did my friend run into the woods." She says like she has been snapped out of a trance. 

   "To go find her Mate which happens to be my best friend." She laughs doing a little dance. 

   "Oh you can't understand how happy I am that she found him. She had a 3 months limit to find them." Hmm interesting, how do I tell her that him is a she. 

   "Like I said she found her mate it is just that it is not a him, but a she." Her face doesn't change, she is still smiling. 

   "Doesn't matter all that matters is that her nasty twin brother doesn't get that Alpha position." She gives me a hug, and I hug her back. "So tell me about yourself, we might be here a while." 

   "Well like your friend I'm to be the next Alpha of this Pack. As in I am stepping up in one month." Her face lights up once more, which just makes my heart melt. 

   "You are an Alpha which means I will be a Luna which means I don't have to be an ambassador any more." She kisses me, then she realizes what she did. "Sorry I got excited" oh how cute is she. 

   "You don't have to be sorry about giving me a kiss, you are my mate after all. You said something about an ambassador?" She gets a little nervous. 

   "My parents are both pack ambassadors, they are gone most of the time, well when I was little they were there a lot. Then when I turned 15 they started to go away more, by the time 16 comes around they never seemed to be home. I understand they have important jobs to do, but I didn't want that for me. The only way to get out of that was being mated to an Alpha." Damn that must suck. 

   "I am sorry to hear that, but you won't be alone anymore." 

"Rue" I hear my name being called, I see Ravenna, and her mate walking up. They look too cute together, going up to hug them. "Rav oh goodness you two are back." 

Amara POV 

   Mom goes back inside to tell the guest that I have found my mate. They are more than welcome to stay until the scheduled end time. Also grabbing the Alpha since his son has almost found his mate. "Elijah my boy you, have a beautiful mate." He comes out, with his warm presents as always. 

   "Thank you Dad, I would like to introduce you Rue Aalto." He shakes her hand. 

   "And she is a part of the Royal Pack, what a blessing this is to our family." He turns to us, his smile still in his face.

   "Now my Amara I see you have found your mate, now I can't say I understand this pairing but the Goddness knows what she is doing." He places his hand on our shoulders, "I just hate the fact I am losing my future leader of my Warriors. At last my blessing is with you two. Ravenna I hope you know you are getting yourself a strong Luna." She gives me a side hug. 

   "I sure do." My mom inserts herself into the moment. 

   "Now that all important parties have been fully informed of this situation. We must now get into the business of this all. We have Pack switching, and title announcing, Amara and Ravenna you two are going to have to decide when you are going back. Now you four can have you butterflies for the rest of the night. Tomorrow conversations and planning must take place." My mom is a realistic person, and you got to love her. 

   "Yes ma'am"
