It was Thursday. Ömer was at work, Emine was at kindergarten and Defne remained at home, because her 11-month-old son Ahmet got sick. Although the nanny was there, Defne decided to remain at home, because she was worried about her little son.
She watched him sleeping in his baby cot for a while and then went downstairs, in the living room.
Suddenly, Defne got a little bored and went downstairs in the studio. She took an A3 format sheet and a pencil, and returned to the living room.
She sat on the sofa and began to draw.
After 30 minutes of drawing, Defne drew a pair of kids shoes and coloured them in light pink with light purple flowers. The whole drawing got very beautiful and the little shoes looked really cute.
Around 4 o'clock in the afternoon Şükrü drove Ömer and Emine home and after that Ömer told him to go home.
Followed by her father, Emine ran into the living room, shouting "Mommyyy!"
Defne stood up, went to her daughter and hugged her, saying "Kızııım!" and kissing her little cheek
"How was your day, sweetheart?" Defne asked her
"It was amazing!" the little redhead answered "I had a lot of fun with my friends."
"Very good!" Defne replied and kissed Emine's cheek once again
"And now will you let me hug daddy?" Defne asked her
"Yes, of course!" Emine answered
"My good girl!" Defne exclaimed and let Emine go
Then she went to Ömer and, wrapping her arms around his waist, asked him "How are you, Ömer?"
"When I see you, I feel much better!" Ömer exclaimed
"Is anything wrong?" she asked him
"No." he answered "I just missed you."
"I missed you, too!" Defne replied
"How is Ahmet?" Ömer asked
"He is better now." Defne answered "Zeynep is upstairs in the kids' room."
"They are very beautiful!" Emine's voice suddenly sounded
Both Defne and Ömer looked at Emine, who was looking at Defne's drawing.
"Do you like them, my darling?" Defne asked her daughter, smiling
"Very much!" Emine answered
"Defne, did you draw them?" Ömer asked his wife
"Yes." Defne answered her husband "I was a little bored around noon and drew them."
Ömer took the drawing and examined it. After looking at it for some minutes, something came up to his mind and he made a short smile, which Defne knew very well. If Ömer smiles like this, he definitely has something on his mind.
"Ömer?!" Defne exclaimed "What is on your mind again?"
"You will see soon, I promise." he answered and winked at her, still smiling like that
