Tsubaki Sawabe's POV

Somehow that night they left us alone and with the door was left unlocked Kashiwagi whispered. "It's time"

We won't give up, so it's good to try even with our state of nudity. Before we even reached the door, however, they found us out.

"You are a naughty girl, are you?" That's the surprise from Michiko-san, followed by that chloroform rag over my nose and mouth.

Slowly my chest rise and fall in torment until the familiar darkness claimed me.

When I woke up, I found myself with my hands and feet chained on the floor, and Kashiwagi was beside me.

"You finally wake up." our captors bellowed.

That was the beginning of a new round of torture. First, they blindfolded us. Followed by a sensation of something being clamped on our sensitive, womanly parts. Then came the whip.

When they allowed us to be free from the black, open wounds and bruises were already all over our body. On the other hand they spared our face.

"That's what disobedience costs you." It was Keizo's closing statement after both men finished with their turn hurting us.

Our painful sobs echoed through the room and it only intensified when they took off our gags.

"You will reflect on what you have gotten yourself into. Especially for you, Tsubaki-sensei."

Then, our captors left us to our devices.

"We must not give up, and we shall keep trying to get out from here." With what was left from my strength and a breaking voice, I continued. "I am sorry, Kashiwagi-chan!"

"That's I who have to be sorry."

Arima Kousei's POV

For days and weeks of that month, I could see that Watari was about to break down each time he talked to me on the webcam. He has to keep doing his corporate job - not with my dad's one, through - while actively looking for any information about the whereabouts of Tsubaki and Kashiwagi.

Saito Takayama, Kashiwagi's boyfriend that used to date Tsubaki as well who served as a police officer have told Watari who then passed it to Emi and I. Other than from him, my father was also keeping tab with things from his law enforcement connections, but leads were few so far which gave us both hope and frustrations at the same time.

For example, a concerned citizen from Kanagawa Prefecture claimed that she had seen the van used by the kidnappers around her village, which turned out to be false, while two days ago there was another sighting report of a similar vehicle, this time from an electrician resided in Ibaraki Prefecture. His story was that he passed through two men taking what looked like a twenty something, unconscious young woman into a forested area not far from Ibaraki city while driving from the opposite direction.

Despite my father and stepmother admonition for me to focus on my studies and to be with Emi, I wished that I would be able to be with Watari in Japan, as to be honest, after Kaori left us, he had since moved on and realized how much that he and Tsubaki were meant for each other, and as my continuous pursuit of music had caused me to be closer to my erstwhile piano rivals instead of Watari and Tsubaki.
