Hey guys! This oneshot is for Random_Crazy_Girl! I hope you like it, and please, give me some feedback.

"Nico! Down here!" Thalia shouted running ahead of him and their daughter, Anna.

"We'll be cornered!" Nico told her, "It's a bad idea, Thalia!"

"There's not a lot of options right now, okay?!" She shouted back, grabbing his arm and pulling him and Anna down an alleyway.

The monsters closed in on each side of the alley. Nico knew they shouldn't have come down this way. "You're not making wise dicisions, demigods." The biggest one said, "Now cooperate with me, the feared Charles Carmichael, and your deaths will be long and painful!" The thing smiled cruelly, like it was the best offer you could come by. What kind of monster name was Charles Carmichael? He put the thought aside. Something in Nico told him he needed to fight these beasts, but he knew Thalia and himself would be overcome quickly. He needed an escape plan, and quick.

"Anna," He told his daughter while focusing on the monster's leader, "Grab Mom's hand." He glanced backward for only a second to check if Anna had obeyed. She had. Unfortunately, Charles Carmichael took that opening. He barreled toward Nico and stabbed at him with a rusty metal pole the creature had picked up a few blocks back. Nico thought, that's a tetanus shot waiting to happen.

Nico dodged the jabs, but he stumbled backwards over Anna and fell. Anna also fell down, but she seemed fine and got straight back up. He picked up his Stygian Iron blade and got to his feet. Nico slashed at the monster and it backed up a few steps. He glanced around, looking for an escape. Any escape.

He looked above them at the night sky. That was dumb, he told himself. You can't fly, idiot. He looked at the ground searching for a sewer covers but didn't find any. Finally, he looked at the walls. All he saw were shadows. He turned his attention back to the monsters surrounding them, but had a sudden realization. There were shadows on the walls. Shadows. How could he have been so dense? He took Thalia's hand and dragged her to the shadow.

But luck wasn't with Nico and Thalia that moment. Charles Carmichael rushed forward, grabbed Anna's wrist, wrenched her backward and out of Thalia's grip. "ANNA!!" Thalia screeched. Anna fell onto the concrete, her head slamming on the ground with a sickening crack noise. Thalia fought against Nico's grip, trying to get free and save their little girl, but Nico pulled her deeper into the shadow, and into pitch black. They had lost Anna.

So, Random_Crazy_Girl, I hope you like this! And, I'm SO SO SO SO SOOOO sorry it took so many weeks to publish! I couldn't get an idea on what to do, but I eventually got and idea, and started straight away. Also... This is only part one. Part two will be out soon, don't worry.
