And there I was. Prom Night. All alone.
I was sitting in a corner watching all the people dancing and having fun while I was feeling like crap. And I wasn’t even those kids who don’t have anyone to go with to the prom. I have indeed. I have my boyfriend of 1 year and a half, no other than my prince charming, Sergio Ramos.
Sometimes I would still pinch myself cause being with him always felted like a dream. We’ve been in a kinda secret relationship because I’m 16 and he’s 23. It’s hard to go behind everyone but it’s worth it. I just love him so much. And like I was saying, here I am all alone on prom night. I already knew that he couldn’t come. I just wished I could be with him on this special night. I already decided that I was going home when I recived a text message. It was from him: “I’m outside”.
After I read that my heart started to beating pretty fast. What did he meant by that? Was he insane? I got up and went outside. Nothing. There wasn’t anyone there, just the cars that were parked. And then I got another text: “ I’m in the back”.
And there she was. Prom Night. With me.
She had a surprised look on her face. I couldn’t tell if she wanted to smile or to cry. I went up to her and hold her. I guess she was dropping some tears.
“Hey, baby…Jay…please don’t cry” I said whipping her tears. She smiled.
“ What are you doing here…are you crazy?
“ Yes, indeed I am. I’m crazy for you, querida” I leaned to give her a kiss on her forehead. She gave a step back to look at me.
“Oh my god, you’re all dress up” She exclaimed.
“ I wouldn’t miss your special night”. We could hear the music coming from inside. They were playing the glee version of “It’s all coming back to me now”. I grabbed her arms and put them around my neck and then I put my arms around her waist.
But when you touch me like this
And you hold me like that
I just have to admit
That it’s all coming back to me
And there they were. Prom Night. Together.
They danced all night like if they were some kind of characters from this fairytale book. Like if they were Cinderella and Prince Charming.
