it's 5 o' clock in the evening. you look out the window of your apartment to see the sky gradually getting darker.
you start to feel a little bit hungry for dinner, so you go to your kitchen to start cooking. you open the door to your fridge, to see that there is nothing in there aside from a bar of chocolate, a bottle of milk, and some butter.
instantly the thought comes to your head, "well, i can't eat this for my dinner." you reach up to the top cupboard to see what is in there, but just like the fridge, there isn't very much there.
you sigh to yourself. "looks like i'll have to go to the convenience store on the high street," a thought resonates in your head.
you walk over to the landing of your apartment, put your denim jacket on, and head out the door, and down the stairs.
it's a 10 minute walk to the high street, but you get there quickly, since you're a pretty quick walker.
you walk into the convenience store and walk through the aisles, getting some basic food items. you wait in the queue for a minute, and then you walk up to the register.
the cashier checks out your items like he didn't care about anything. there was an annoyed look on his face, and he clearly looked like he wanted to get out of there. when he is done, he doesn't even say anything like "goodbye" or "have a nice day". you were about to think that he was rude, but then you realised that the poor guy's probably had a long and hard day. you smile at him, and then you take the plastic bag with your items in it and leave the store.
as you walk out of the store, heavy rain lashes out on to the street. "crap!" you mutter to yourself, you didn't bring a coat or umbrella with you.
you sigh to yourself, and decide that you'll have to run. but just as you try and run, you drop the plastic bag, straight into a puddle. as the bag falls, it causes the puddle water to splash into your face.
"aw, damn it!" you say to yourself. you bend down to pick the plastic bag up, and while you're bending down, the dripping of rain on your back suddenly stops.
you think, "hey, what's going on? i still hear the rain, but i don't feel it..." then you look up to see the cashier from the store holding an umbrella right above you.
"no worries, i'll pay for all of that." he says to you with a smile, a totally different attitude to how he was at the store.
"hey... you're the guy from the store... thank you! but don't you have to serve the customers?" you question him.
"ehh, don't worry about it, my friend is covering for me. now, i believe i have your items to pay for," he smiles at you again.
you follow the man into the store, and you tell him what items you need. he goes and buys them, and then hands them to you in a new plastic bag.
"wow, thank you so much!" you exclaim to the man.
"it's no problem, honestly. so, may i know your name?"
"my name is Y/N. what's yours?"
"ah, you have a beautiful name, Y/N. my name is junhee. park junhee."
"thank you so much, park junhee!"
"you're welcome, Y/N."
then junhee hands you a small slip of paper with a phone number on it. you ask him, "what do i do with this?"
"call it!" he says with a smile.
you dial the number on the paper, for a few seconds later the phone in junhee's jeans pocket rang.
you asked him, "well, junhee, why are you giving me your phone number? you only just met me..."
junhee said, "Y/N, you seem like a super nice person, and i would like to get to know you more!"
"ahh, i see," you reply to him. you then add the number to your contacts as 'junhee'. then junhee sees the number which just called his phone, and added it to his contacts as 'Y/N :)'.
you could tell that this was going to be the start of something beautiful.
