Max's POV

As I sit on the sofa thinking about Becky, I decide that I need some company. I pick up my phone to call someone to take my mind off of her. First I decide to call Tom; he's the simple option and my best friend. It rings a few times, but then the call is rejected. I wonder what his problem is. I then try again, but this time, I block my number. That normally works for when he's ignoring me. After a couple of rings, that call is also rejected. Well I suppose Tom doesn't want to keep me company. I then move on to Siva. This time it just rings out. I try about three times, but the same thing keeps happening. He must be busy. Next it's Jay. I ring his number, but it goes straight to answer machine. I guess he's busy too. Maybe they've all gone out together and forgot to invite me. I then decide to try Nathan next.

"Hello?" he asks, down the phone. He sounds like he's been laughing. I don't think I should ask him to hang out, after all he has got his family to think about.

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to ring you" I lie, as I hang up the phone. Who now? I suppose I could call Mark. He's the writer for our band and quite a good mate to us all. I suppose he could be quite good company at a time like this. He always knows what to do, in terms of women. I dial his number and almost immediately, he answers.

"Hey mate, what's up?" he asks me.

"I was just wondering if you wanted to come over. I need some company" I tell him, unsure what he might say.

"Sorry, Max. I don't bend that way" he laughs.

"Not like that. I need your advice about something" I tell him and he soon agrees to come over.

About half an hour later, there's a knock at the door and it's Mark. I soon let him in and to my surprise he seems happy. He's usually got a neutral face and he barley ever shows expression.

"You seem happy" I laugh.

"I know" he sighs, in happiness.

Jay's POV

"Siva! Open the door!" I yell, as I bang on his bedroom door. There's no answer though, so I have no choice but to bang down the door. I take a couple of steps back, before running into the door, with my right arm in front of me. This arm has taken quite a battering tonight, but as long as my friend is ok, I don't care. I can't let Siva end his life over some stupid girl! The fact that my friends have such trouble with relationships just makes me want to spend the rest of my life alone. I don't need the hassle. After about three attempts of breaking the door down, I feel my body shudder lightly, as I hit the door. At that moment I realise that it must be open! I stand up straight, whilst holding onto my arm and then I run into the room. I then notice that Siva is lying on the bed, with his eyes half closed and pills all over the bed.

"How many have you taken?" I ask him, as I run over to his bedside.

"Not enough" he says, with his words sounding quite and distant. This isn't good. I have to get him to hospital! I pull my phone out of my pocket and I dial the emergency services number. When I finally get though to them, I tell them all of the details and they tell me that they will be about two minutes. I take those few minutes to talk to Siva. I hold onto his right hand in an attempt to comfort him. By this time I have stopped crying and all I can focus on is Siva getting better.

"It's going to be alright, I promise. We will get Claire back for what she's done. You don't have to do this to yourself" I tell him, as I squeeze his hand tighter. After a few minutes, I hear foot steps running up the stairs and sure enough, it's the paramedics. They put Siva onto the stretcher and then they take him down the stairs, with me following. I slam the door behind me and then I get in the back of the ambulance, next to Siva.

"It's going to be alright, I promise" I tell him again. He didn't want to die, I know it. He was just upset and thought everything was his fault, when we both know it wasn't. It was all because of that Claire. He deserves so much better than her. She's not good enough for him!

As soon as the words have left my mouth, Siva shakes his head and turns to face the opposite direction. I never thought he would get this depressed!
