Before You Go.

You looked glanced behind you before looking back in forward, the cool air hitting your face.

You tightened the shawl that you wore around your head as the gondola got closer to the island.

Once it stopped in front of the island, you thanked the gondolier before getting off of the boat and walking to the garden to meet your lover.

When the garden was in sight, you picked up your pace.

Once you entered, you looked around, frowning slightly as it seemed as though you were the only one in the garden.

"You look beautiful 애인 (sweetheart)." you heard a voice say.

You looked up and saw Donghyuck sitting in a tree.

He jumped down, removing his hood, showing his handsome face that was illuminated by the moonlight.

Your heart jumped as he walked to you, grabbed you hands and kissed it.

Donghyuck's eyes was filled with so much affection for you, you truly felt lucky to be the apple of his eye, especially considering you use to the hate the man when you first met him.

It was his cockiness that made you dislike him at first.

He knew he was handsome, intelligent, and an greatly skilled Assassin and it showed in the way how he carried himself.

At first, you two would argue, usually Donghyuck annoying you and you biting back at him.

He didn't want to admit to you that he found you putting him in his place very attractive. He really loved someone who could put his cocky attitude in check.

It was because of that that Donghyuck started showing you more of his softer side, telling you stories about the different countries he's been to, pointing out the stars in the night sky and telling you every detail about them, telling you secrets about civilizations that came before you.

You were a librarian who assisted the Assassins. It was apart of your family's heritage. Your father did it, his father did it, and so on.

You would usually watch Donghyuck as he studied books, trying to piece together clues to find the apple.

He always looked so handsome when he was focused... and quiet.

As you two sat down on a bench looking out into the waterway, you sighed as he cupped your cheek.

"I'm going to be leaving tomorrow." he said, his eyes filled with sadness.

"I know." you told him with a sad smile.

Donghyuck only came to Venice to learn more about the apple and to train under Assassins who had different fighting skills.

He wanted to become stronger because his main mission was a mission of revenge.

To kill the Templar who murdered his father.

You didn't want him to leave. In fact, just the thought of him leaving scared you because who knows what would happened to him.

Would he get captured?

Die?

When you thought of the things that could happen to him, your stomach would churn.

"Will I ever see you again?" you asked him, afraid of his answer.

A playful grin grew on his lips.

"Once I'm done with my mission, I'm coming back for you 여보 (darling)."

You smiled at him, leaning in for a kiss that he reciprocated.

He bit your lip and you moaned, parting your lips and letting his tongue explore mouth.

You two would kiss yes but you'd never got this passionate before.

I guess with knowing that you two wouldn't see each other for some time made you two a bit more desperate for each other.

You wanted Donghyuck and he wanted you as well and as you pulled away, your hand on his clothed chest, you thought for a bit.

If you gave yourself to Donghyuck, what would that mean?

You knew he loved you deeply and you loved him back as well, I mean, you entertained the thought of having his child. But you both knew that the life of an Assassin wasn't promised a life of love or even a family and as much as you loved Donghyuck, you couldn't help but think that eventually he'll fall out of love with you and move on to the next person.

"Make love to me." he whispered to you, his voice soft and warm, his eyes filled with a love that you've never seen held in someones' eyes and it was all for you.

Though those fears of being forgotten by your lover terrified you, it didn't override the need of him as you nodded your head, his soft plump lips catching yours into a passionate kiss, you threw cation to the wind and enjoyed the last moment you had with him.
