The first prince to lunge forward was Kendrick, a flashing glare of topaz in the sun as he leaped up, then plunged down on Caesar, his sword's blade pointing down. Caesar was seconds away from a blow to the neck before he thrust his sword up and dodged Kendrick's attack. Watching the duel, Aria noticed the princes weren't paying attention to anything around them besides their opponent. This was her chance. She glanced around her to make sure the crowd was well focused on the duel, then dashed off and up the tower of Princess Elvira. When she got to the top, she found Elvira there, waiting near the door to see her emerge. Aria assumed Elvira had seen her dash out of the crowd. "Aria?" Elvira asked. "Didn't we promise to escape today?" Aria replied, then beckoned Elvira to run with her down the stairs. They managed to dash successfully down the tower, through the crowds, to the entrance, then out of the kingdom without being noticed a single time. Or so they thought. Just as they were running off into the sunset, Madison turned her head and noticed them, but they were gone before she could say anything. She frantically turned and whispered to Rey. "Aria just ran off with Elvira," she whispered into her ear.

"She did?"

"Yes, she did! I saw her!"

"Wow. But why?"

"Because she found love."

"Who found love?"

"Aria."

Rey was clearly still trying to process the thought. Their attention was drawn away by shouts of victory from the Lustredawne crowds. Prince Kendrick stamped his paw onto the decapitated, bloody head of Prince Caesar and cried out in victory, holding his sword in the air. "We knew he was too cheap to survive this!" That little puppy was no match for Kendrick!" Madison overheard a Lustredawne say. "Can't even afford a cape!" she caught from another one. She heard them both laugh.
