Arthur pov

I looked down at Y/N, who's sleeping. I am very lucky to have such a beautiful wife. I smile to myself while remembering all the good times we had together-

"Papa?"

I was pulled out of my thoughts and look over at the door. I see our son, Alfred.

"Yes, Alfred? What is it? Why are awake at this hour?" I asked Alfred quietly so I don't wake Y/N. Alfred sniffed and began to shake.

"I-I'm scared...", Alfred whispered, his voice trembling. I got out of bed slowly and slowly closed to door. I walked over to Alfred and crouched down to his level.

"Afraid of what? There's nothing to be afraid of", I told Alfred softly. Tears threatened to fall off his face as he sniffed.

"I-I'm-I'm s-scared you and M-Mama will l-le-leave me a-a-alone", Alfred sniffed and bowed his head and tears fell from his face.

"Alfred you know we would never do that. We love y-" I began but was interrupted.

"But you're gonna leave me alone like my real parents!" Alfred yelled out, tears streaming down his face. A dagger pierced my heart as I listen to Alfred. Does he think we don't love him? Or does he think we can't love him like real parents do with their child? Does he think we'll abandon him like his real parents did to him? Does he think nobody loves or will love him? My heart shattered.

"A-Alfred! How can you say such a thing? We are your parents not the people who left you alone... We love you Alfred-", my voice trembled a bit as I spoke, but I was interrupted once again.

"Even if we are not related by blood, we are a family", Y/N walks over to us and crouches down to Alfred's level.

"Y/N", I said, surprised.

"Being blood related doesn't make a family, a family,. Love does, and you know what Al?" Y/N asked and poked Alfred's nose. Alfred sniffed and looked up at Y/N.

"W-what?" Alfred asked.

"We love you very much", Y/N said and smiled. Alfred froze and stared at us as we smiled at him. Alfred then hugged Y/N and Y/N hugged back. I hugged both of them. Alfred pulled away and smiled.

"I love you too, Mama and Papa!" Alfred told us happily then yawned. I picked up Alfred and set him down in our bed. I gave Y/N a goodnight kiss and we both fell asleep with Alfred between us.

-time skip to the morning-

I woke up and looked next to me to see Alfred still sleeping while Y/N is missing. She must be in the kitchen. I dressed for the day and made myself presentable. I went down stairs to the kitchen. I found Y/N cooking. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Morning love", I said and kissed her neck.

"Morning", Y/N giggled.

"How did you sleep love?" I asked.

"Good, how about you dear?" Y/N asked. I smiled and nuzzled her neck.

"Wonderful", I told her and let her go. Y/N washed her hands and set breakfast down on the table.

"Alfred! Breakfast is ready! Get down here before it gets cold!" Y/N yelled out to Alfred. I walked over to Y/N, pulled her close, and kissed her.

"I love you", I told Y/N.

"I love you too", Y/N smiled and kissed me.

"Eww!!!! That's gross!!! Cooties!!!!!", Alfred shrieked and covered his eyes. I chuckled and Y/N giggled. I walked over to Alfred and peeled his hands off his face, but he just closed his eyes.

"Oh well", I sighed, "I guess Alfred doesn't want breakfast today Y/N. Tsk, tsk, and you made his favorite today. What a shame", i said. Alfred opened his eyes and raced to the table.

"Yes I do!" Alfred said. He then began to eat and we ate with him. Once when we were all finished, Y/N washed the dishes and put them away.

"Well now time for school Al. Come on, get ready!" Y/N told Alfred. Alfred ran upstairs to gather his things for school. Once he came back down, we got in the car and drove to Alfred's school. We said goodbye to Alfred and went home. After an hour of being at home, I had to go to work.

"Bye love. I'm heading out to work now", I said and kissed her goodbye.

"Ok bye! Have a good day at work dear", Y/N said with a smile.

Your pov

I said goodbye to Arthur and walked over to the couch. I sat down and put [tv show or anime or movie] on. I put a hand over my stomach and rubbed it gently. I then smiled.

Soon, we'll have another addition to the family.
