Ch. 03 || Her Weakness || pt. 01

You get off his lap and move away from him.

Jungkook; It's true, I really don't remember anything that happened to me last year.

You; Then how do you remember your own name?

Jungkook shrugs and it leaves you feeling whatever. You're not that close with him anyways- you're only asking because he's a member of your gang now and you have to try and be nice.

You; We're going out tomorrow.

He looks surprised as if he wasn't expecting you to say that, but before you could let him speak, you walk out of his bedroom and close the door behind you.

7:30 pm

Sua leaves her self-built robot to take care of her 3-year-old son and walks out ahead of you. You stay behind to lock all the doors and shove the keys in your back pocket as you walk towards the jeep. 

Hyunjin has been giving you the side-eye all day and you sigh, getting tired of him glancing at Jungkook and then back at you.

Jungkook; When you said we're going out, I thought it was just me and you?

Hyunjin starts making kissy faces at you. But he quickly snaps out of it once Heejin slaps the back of his head-

Heejin; Get in, you dumb f*ck.

Hyunjin grabs Jungkook's wrist and pulls him in the back seat of the jeep- pushing Sua aside. You're still quite upset at her for treating you so badly and the both of you avoid eye contact.

Before you hop in the jeep, you look back at the woods one last time. You're sure you heard something because you heard random noises of leaves crunching and twigs breaking. It's as if something or someone is watching you and you feel uneasy at this thought.

Hyunjin; Probably a deer, now hurry.

You; I don't think so. I heard something else.

Jungkook sighs loudly and speaks-

Jungkook; Can we get this over with? Like where are we even going?

You glare at the three dumbfounded members- Sua, Heejin, and Hyunjin.

You; Neither of you told him?

Heejin; I thought Hyunjin did?

The three of them share glances at each other and you sigh loudly as you get in the front passenger seat of the jeep.

You; We're going to check if someone is an elite or if they work for the government.

Jungkook tilts his head to the side and raises one eyebrow, questioning who.

Sua; It's definitely not you becau-

You; Jungkook, you don't need to know who, except that he's extremely powerful.

Sua glares at you for cutting her off mid-sentence but you continue ignoring her presence. Hyunjin starts the engine and pulls out the driveway as he speaks-

Hyunjin; We suspect that person to be from the government though.

Jungkook; okay? And what do I have to do with this?

The man's attitude makes you want to knock him out, but you hold back- trying to calm yourself as you count to three.

Jungkook; Why can't I know who it is? Am I not part of this gang?

You; You are.

Jungkook; Then why aren't you all telling me who he is? I might know.

You; Didn't you lose your memories?

Heejin; It's nobody special, just y/n's ex.

Sua pinches her arm to shut up and Hyunjin almost crashes the jeep into one of the trees when they hear Heejin say the unexpected.

Anger boils inside of you and you grit your teeth when Heejin starts giggling. Jungkook now shows even more interest than before-

Heejin; He's bound to find out one day...It's Bae Jinyoung.

You; I swear, I'll fucking kill you all-!

Jungkook; I didn't hear anything.

Sua watches the two of you exchanging glances and she raises her eyebrows. Hyunjin leans in to speak in Sua's ear-

Hyunjin; They slept together.

Jungkook; No, we didn't.

Heejin; You sure?

You ignore their nonsense and walk inside the building and they still continue arguing outside the abandoned warehouse.

Suddenly, one of the pillars of the building comes crashing down with a loud rumble- bringing fragments of concrete flying towards you.

Hyunjin quickly gets to your side and wraps his arms around your waist- only to drag you down for safety. The both of you luckily duck and the rubble hits the wall behind you; feeling relieved it didn't hit any of your group members either.

You stand up and dust off your dress. Right now, you're feeling a little scared but you have to show your team that the leader is tough and strong no matter what.

You; It's not like it was going to kill me.

Jungkook; Yes, from that speed you would be dead by now.

Jungkook folds his arms at your ignorance- but his attention later turns toward Hyunjin, whose arm still holding your waist.

You; You jealous?

Jungkook; why would I be? It's not like-

You walk to him and hold up both your hands to his face, cupping his soft cheeks.

You; Are you sure? You seem jealous, babyboy.

That word was the start of something when he swallows his spit from nervousness. You can't help but to smile at the man who's blushing because you're flirting with him. You fix his leather jacket and bring your fingers to softly comb his hair. 

You can easily tell he's holding back because his sparkly little doe eyes are fully fixated on your lips. 

But all of a sudden, Jungkook's head turns around so fast- way before you even have time to process what happens next. 

The building echoes with the sounds of gunshots and your members close your ears from the sudden noise. But what you didn't realize is that a bullet has gone right through your thigh while you were busy flirting with Jungkook. 

If you had been a better leader and stood your grounds instead of getting distracted by Jungkook, you would've been prepared for the fight. 

You're unable to keep your balance straight and Jungkook watches you struggling to stand. You can't help but to think how this is now the second time in your life that you've gotten shot.

Heejin; Y/N!

Yet again, you show the members you're strong and you can hold in the pain- and you grab the gun out of your back pocket. You put all your energy into focusing your aim at the person who shot you.

Sua; It is Jinyoung. I'm sure of it!

Y/N; S-scan him with your gun then!

Before your gun gets a chance to check Jinyoung's identity, he hides behind the pillar away from your gang's peering eyes. You clench your fist, feeling useless as you missed such a great opportunity.

Sua comes to help you up on your feet as more men arrive from each ends of the building, who seemed to have been hiding there all this time.

Jungkook stands beside you- looking concerned at you unable to stand straight as the bullet is still stuck deep in your thigh. He has no weapon to defend himself and you want to protect him; so you push him behind you to keep him safe from your enemy. 

But it leaves you shocked when Jungkook quickly snatches your gun away.
