'Since you had been a lazy worker, i decided to cut your wages by a week." Bianca threw the envelope on the table.

i looked at her, holding back my anger and tears, "what? i dont work for you. beside i had only been late for a day this month."

she eyed me evilly as i took the envelope, "you work for my mother, and thats the same thing. and i dont like you. thats a darn foos reason. you should be thankful i didnt tell my mom to fire you."

"such a saint." i mumbled to myself. the only reason you hate me is because i hang out with your dream man, and because he refused to look at you for even a second.

"erm, hi there. is this seat taken?" the voice woke me up from my daydream. i quickly look up to meet a pair of brown eyes.

he was handsome. he had spiky dirty blonde hair with brown highlight at the tips. he was wearing a deep blue shirt and a black jeans.

he smiled as he raised an eyebrow, which made me realize i had been staring at him like a complete moron. "miss?"

"yeah yeah, sure." i quickly beckoned him to take a seat. the school bus started to move.

"thanks, beautiful." he said suddenly, which made me blushed a deep shade of red as he sat down.

i quickly turned my mind to face the window to my right, watching the view. i almost regret it, because im starting to turn nauseous.

"hey," the boy suddenly said," you're okay? you seem a bit pale."

"huh?" i responded" yeah. just feeling cold."

"im Wesley Julian. you could call me Wes. or really, please call me Wes. Wesley sounded like the name of a beaver or something."

i chuckled unexpectedly, "Im Winter Cassandra."

"Winter." he said, "a suitable name for a snow princess."

i blushed again, "you're funny."

"i wasnt trying to be," he grinned alluringly, which didnt help with my case, "hey, you're the girl in Art class huh? the scholarship girl?"

"you're not making fun of me, arent you?"

he quickly shook his head," of course not ! just so you know, i admire girls that are just as pretty on the head as they are on the outside. beside, what is there to make fun of?"

ahh. a gentleman. "thanks," i repositioned my seat, realizing we're almost at the school parking lot, "i dont know any Wes at Hearst."

"you dont?" he chuckled as if im missing something obvious, "you're Dean Winchester's girl, if im not wrong. he's my team member in the school football team."

i smirked at his statement, "no! who gives you such idea? we're just friend." Dean is hot. I am not. i am not his girlfriend because im sure his he had his eyes on skinny beautiful tall model.

"really? good." he looked away, thinking that i didnt hear him said that," i heard you're having trouble with your.. school fee.. listen, im sorry if you think im sticking my nose in your business.. its just, im curious."

i struggled to decide whether i should tell him or not, but like always , my mind blew off without thinking ," er, yeah. but no biggie. i work part time at Hale's Sundae House. that should cover things up a little."

"i can h..." he didnt finish his words because the bus stopped and the driver yelled 'Hearst High!"

"oops. got to go. nice meeting you beaver." i smiled at him as i sling my bag around my shoulder and ran down the bus.

"hey, Winter. our astronomy class is starting in a few more minutes. you're coming?" Dean said as soon as i jumped down the bus, much to my suprise.

"Dean! you almost give me a heart attack!"

he smiled, looking at me with his emerald green eyes, zipping his brown jacket," i was waiting for you"

Dean is really a sweet guy, "you're like a damn good brother i never have. thanks deano. save me a seat. i need to get to the teacher's office to pay off that bloody debt." i quickly said as i felt he pinched me on the cheek.

as i ran towards the school, i heard him mumbled something like,"love you" or something like that.

Cute. He thinks of me as his sister.

after i ran to the washroom for a quick pee, i walked to the teacher's office, aiming towards the desk in front of me, as i took out the envelope from my bag, the lady turned to look at me, "Oh Miss Cassandra! what are you doing here? class is starting in a few minutes!"

she was Mrs. Gold. "In here to pay off some of my debt, Mrs.Gold."

"No.no. its all taken care off." she smiled sweetly, "you can sit back and relax."

i stopped dead on my tracks. "wait wait. what do you mean? i didnt pay...."

"a nice gentleman just stopped by here to clear things off. a rather cute boy, actually."

"you're fucking kidding me." she gave me a look as i said the F word, "sorry mrs.Gold."

she corrected her glasses, "no, Miss Cassandra. apparently im not kidding, or anyway near it. all the fee had been paid."

i looked down at the envelope filled with my wages, waiting for everything to sink in. " but....but, by who?"

she grinned innocently, the crease appearing on her face showing years of experience and depression perhaps, "i cant tell you that. i am sorry. he made me promise not to tell. but you got a very nice man taking care of you, Miss Cassandra. now, please go to class."

i nodded weakly as i headed out of the office. who could it be? just a stranger with a good heart, or is it something more to the deeds?

i walked to my locker to grab a few book for my next class, when i saw something taped on it.

it was a blue paper with some cursive hand writing, and my eyes widened as i read what was written inside,

'everythings taken care off beautiful. sit back and enjoy life. you only live once.'
