He grabbed the skateboard as my eyes travelled through the park. It was so quiet and he was quiet as he moved with his own pace and I followed him cluelessly. Yes, I've been harassing him to teach me how to skate since forever but I didn't really think we would actually get to it until his whole The Alignment trip came up— so, he promised to at least teach me the basics of skateboarding before he takes off in a week.

I was still taking in all the big ramps when I felt his fingers curl through mine and he pulled me up onto one. He jumped down immediately while I sat over the edge first, filled with fear until he put the skateboard down and came back as if it was common sense that I couldn't jump even though it wasn't even that high. I thought he was just gonna wait for my ass to slowly jump down but no? His hands wrapped around my waist and he studied behind him before my curls fell onto him as I grabbed his shoulders for dear life until my feet touch the ground again and I was safe.

"Ok, go on." He dropped the skateboard in front of me. My eyes widened and I paused, hoping he wouldn't repeat what I just heard but he just continued to stare at me because he knew I would chicken out when it finally got to it. "Wavily, go on." he sighed. "... No." I said flat on straight. His deep ocean eyes looked into mine and he was so annoyed I was almost gonna laugh. "I'm not.. going first!" I even avoided smiling but I could feel my on fire. He wants me to just get on it? I'm level 1, he's starting at 3. We both just stood there four feet away from each other silent before Dayven for pisses, "It's gonna get dark soon." His tone was flat. "No, it's okay. You go first." I sat down. It wasn't okay, it was in the middle of He circled back and forth, moving from ramp to ramp through the warm breeze. Deep warm orange sunset took over the entire area as it blended with the deep blue clouds. Dayven seemed deep in his head and he took in every area he crossed because the sunset was absolutely breathtaking.

The next thing I know, he was right in front of me. "Alright!" He got off and I started panicking, I pulled my sleeves down and hugged my knees as he walked over to me. "I think we should just go home." I whispered in fear knowing if he heard me he would shit on my ass. He did, "I don't know why I agree with you." I would've fully missed that very faint lift in the corner of his mouth if I had blink a second later.

"I don't either!" I got up, disappointed. I really don't. His eyes followed me all the way around him for the skateboard with a smile. He knew I was pissed as he stood there with his out for support but instead I went for the shoulders, leaving his hand empty so they dropped down to my waist — making me regret coming in first place. A flinch came up my entire body the second he started taking small steps to drag the skateboard. My grip on his shoulders tightened out and his eyes remained on me but I refused to look back at him. With the experiences he's had, he knew I was about to fall even before my ankle got twisted. I fell Enough times to even make him start focusing more rather than just trying not to laugh.

"On more, come on." He ordered gently but I was done. "I can't do it." I said bluntly frustrated.
"Get on." he sharply cut me off. It was useless arguing with him so I stepped on the board with a tight grip on his shoulders and both his hands studied my waist - I looked up at him, hoping he could see the desperation need of a break because I was terrified but he didn't even notice. His eyes were so focused on my legs — making sure they were in the right place and pointing the right way so that we could avoid falling but I really thought about the fact that the board beneath me had fucking wheels which could just roll down anywhere and anytime and I would go with it and my legs got twisted before I even knew.
