six (truth or dare)

ASHTON'S P.O.V

"What are we gonna do now?" Calum sighed, sitting down on the couch. I sat next to him, along with (Y/N) and Gen. Michael and Luke were sat on the floor. It was just a typical Saturday night, and our friend group was bored as hell. We just had some pizza and now we didn't know what to do.

I looked over to my right. Gen and Calum were cuddling, ever since they became a couple they couldn't bare to be apart from each other, I find it cute. I looked to my left, (Y/N) was looking down into her lap. She looked really beautiful tonight, wearing her black skinny jeans, Green Day shirt and her hair falling down over her shoulders.

No one knew that I had a crush on her, I kept it pretty secret but I think I'm falling for her too fast. I don't even know if she likes me back...

"We could play truth or dare?" Luke suggested

"I'm sorry, I didn't know we were 10 year old girls" Calum joked "Should we watch the Justin Bieber movie afterwards? Maybe have a pillow fight?"

"Shut it, Hood" Luke smiled and threw a remote at him. he caught it and started laughing "Are you sure your not Asian? You have ninja skills"

"Watch it, Hemmo" he threw the remote back at Luke.

"I think it sounds fun" Michael shrugged "We have nothing better to do"

So that's how it all started. We all sat on the floor in a circle like little kids and Taylah got out her phone with the 'Truth or Dare" app. Basically, a little wheel spins around on the screen and if it lands on you, someone asks you truth or dare.

We went around in the circle, Michael asking Gen, Gen asking Luke, Luke asking (Y/N), (Y/N) asking Calum. Finally, it was only me who hadn't been asked. Calum spun the little wheel by swiping the screen and, eventually, it landed on me

"Truth or dare, Ash" Calum smiled

I was tempted to say dare, but Luke was dared to lick my shoe so I'm pretty sure all the dares would be gross.

"Truth" I shrugged

"Hmmm..." Calum looked around the room, thinking of what he was going to ask probably. His eyes landed on (Y/N) for a couple seconds, and that's when I knew I was in deep shit.

"Who do you have a crush on?" He asked, turning back to me.

My eyes opened a little bit and I started playing with a loose string from my jumper sleeve. I am a terrible liar, people can see right through me.

"Uh... well..." I stuttered, trying to think of what the hell I was going to do. Everyone was staring at me by this point, and I felt their eyes piercing into me "... I don't have one"

"Yes you do!" Michael spoke up "I remember you telling me you had one the other week, but you didn't tell me who it was"

I gulped and gave him a death glare, to witch he just shrugged off.

"It's someone we know, isn't it?" Gen guessed. This was followed by a chorus of "Is it so-and-so" and I was about to lose it. I looked over at (Y/N), who was the only one not guessing or joking around.

"Why are you looking at (Y/N) like that..." Michael pointed out, and everyone went quiet.

Shit.

Not even 10 seconds later, everyone, but (Y/N), started yelling "OOOOOOHHH"

"YOU LIKE (Y/N)!"

"ASHTON AND (Y/N), SITTING IN A TREE..."

"AWWWWW ASH!"

I sat there mortified. I didn't want anyone to know, and now they are practically teasing me about it in front of (Y/N) I mean, I know they aren't meaning to make me feel bad, they just don't know how much I like her.

"Ashton, do you really like me?" (Y/N) asked quietly, looking into my eyes. The room went dead silent and you could hear a pin drop at any moment.

I kept looking at her. I couldn't read her face; she could be thinking anything right now. After about 5 seconds, I sighed and stood up, leaving the room.

I can't believe this just happened, I thought while sliding down the wall of the hallway. I could hear my friends talking in the other room, but I couldn't understand what they were saying.

"Ash?" I heard Luke call out. I looked to my left and saw him standing at the start of the hallway. He walked over and sat across from me "You ok?

"I don't know" I shrugged, looking down into my lap.

The room went quiet for what felt like the millionth time tonight, but I didn't care. All I wanted was quiet right now, so I could figure out what the hell I was going to do.

"You really like her, don't you?"

I slowly looked up at Luke "Yeah. I really, really do..."

Luke smiled and nodded, and I felt a bit more relaxed after that.

"And I always thought you and me were always gonna be the single ones, riding it out together..." Luke joked, sighing and pouting.

"Awwwhh" I laughed "I still love ya, Lukey"

Luke stood up and held out a hand, I grabbed it and he pulled me up. I heard someone cough to my left, I looked and saw (Y/N) standing there.

"I'll leave you two to talk" Luke smiled, giving me a small pat on the back. I nodded as sighed as he left the hallway. I turned to face (Y/N), and we both stared at each other.

"So..." she spoke up

"I'm sorry, (Y/N) I interrupted her "I didn't mean for this to come out, or for me to evan fall for you. I don't want our friendship to be ruined and I just want to get past all of this"

"When did you know?" (Y/N) changed the subject

"Know what?"

"That you liked me"

I thought for a few seconds before answering "About a year ago, it was in summer and you were wearing these ripped shorts, a blue singlet and your sunglasses. You just looked so... perfect. Everything about you is. I love your music taste, your humour, your laugh, your eyes... just you"

"You... love me?" she mumbled, I could barley hear her.

"Shit, uh..." I can't believe I just said that. Way to go Ashton...

My thoughts were cut off when I felt (Y/N) wrap her arms around my neck. Then she kissed me.

I was shocked; I almost forgot to kiss back. But when I did, it felt like we were the only two people on earth. I moved her around so her back was on the wall and placed my hand around her waist.

(Y/N) pulled away and whispered in my ear "I think I love you too"

Our heads snapped towards the hallway door when we heard Michael yelling "GUYS THEY ARE KISSING, HOW CUTE"

"Whatever, dipshit" I flipped him the bird, he just gave me a thumbs up and walked out of the room.

I turned back to (Y/N) and smiled "Where were we?"

She giggled and reconnected our lips once again. We were kissing, in the middle of a dark hallway, when our friends were in the other room.

And I couldn't think of anything more perfect
