BNA Shirou x Male OC

Chapter 4

It was morning.
i had finally woken up from a good well deserved night of sleep after yesterday's hype
turns out i really did end up sleeping on the couch next to..Shirou....OH GOD!
I start freaking out praying that i didn't do anything stupid and so Me-like in my sleep but I'm slowly calmed down after recalling how it was like.
he looked so peaceful and FLUFFY TOO I'm ready to bet that if i didn't restrain myself i would of probably buried myself right into that floof he was so cute-
Cute?? what am i saying i barely know the guy yet he's all i can think about anymore "pull yourself together"
speaking of Shirou, he isn't anywhere to be seen in his room, he probably wakes up early unlike my lazy ass.

i take the stairs down although missing the opportunity to snoop into Shirou's stuff but i know better.

"Good morning Mihiro!" Merissa Greets as i reach the end of the stairs
"Good morning to you too Miss Merissa!" i greet back giving her a warm smile
She invites me to sit down at the table which i gladly accept and she serves me a plate of freshly baked pancakes.

"Uhm Merissa where is Shi- I mean where is everyone?" i ask to which she chuckles a bit
"Shirou and Michiru are off helping some citizens with some trouble caused by the heavy rain yesterday as for Gem he is simply getting groceries"
"Trouble,was the rain that bad?"
"It effected the Slums mostly but don't worry everything will turn out okay" she reassures with a smile
"oh alright it's just that i feel bad about oversleeping whilst everyone is out there helping" i try not to put a long face.
"That is awful sweet of you my dear but don't worry,plus Shirou said you looked like you were having a good dream as evidence by you smiling during your sleep so that's not a problem"
I'm immediately caught off guard by the last part and my face turns tomato red "i d-did?" i mutter under all the embarrassment. but she only chuckles at me putting me even more on the spot.
The rest of the breakfast was just idle banter with Merissa telling me more about the beastmen culture and how things work around here.
After a little while i decided to go out for a little walk.
the streets were still wet with few but large pudles of water and droplets coming down roofs everynow and then but other then that people were still going about their day.
Wanting to be useful i head towards the slums after asking for some directions and I soon reach mt destination
"Wow Merissa wasn't kidding, this place really got the short end of the stick" i mutter.
The slums really lived up to their names the houses were very much rusty some lacking a roof and occasionally,a door. the water was grey not to mention all the trash thrown into it and the soil was all muddy my shoes would sink a bit in.
i keep walking more into the middle looking left and right hoping to find Shirou and Michiru.
"HEEEY MIHIRO OVER HEEERE" out of nowhere a loud voice calls out to me and it belonged to none other then Michiru
i look over her direction and notice Shirou and a group of other people next to her waving at me to come over
i climb the ramp up and jog my way towards them
"Good morning Mihiro! Or should i say Noon" she greets teasingly
"Yeah..i kinda slept too much my bad heh" i laugh sheepishly
"Don't fret over that,besides you looked like you were having a good dream plus Shirou didn't want to wake you." a blush creeps up on my face "why does everyone keep saying that..."i mutter quietly.

I then notice Shirou's gaze on me but i play it casual and wave at him to which he turns his face suspiciously quickly and gives me a nod but i shrug it off.
Michiru introduces me to a few of her friends Jackie and some others who turns out are baseball players.

"

Now that you are here can you help us carry these wood planks" She asks
"Yeah of course,here let me." i grab some stacked planks which were a bit heavy but i would never complain.
We are split into groups of two to cover more ground and i end up being paired with Shirou himself (coincidence?)
I'm mostly the one following him around like a puppy (ironically) and manage to sneak a few glimces at him from time to time but when i focus my attention on him i end up slipping on a mud blob causing me to fall onto my back and dropping the planks into the air which i notice are on their way down to hit my face but in a blink of an eye Shirou swoops in and manages to catch and stack the planks back in two moves and sets them on that damn slippery soil
i sit still flopped on my back still in shock
"Are you alright?" he asks gently reaching his hand out to me
"amazing..I mean- YES IM OKAY" i quickly take his hand and he lifts me up.
"That was close" he remarks
"Yeah sorry about that,people say I'm kinda clumy" i itch my neck in embarrassment.then the realisation finally sets in that my back is full on muddy and i can't help but cringe
"Oh common i just had a shower yesterdaaaay" i whine trying to brush it off with my hands but i end up looking like i have flees
Shirou let's out a soft chuckle which i wouldn't expect from him but it's enough to make my situation here more tolerable

After some hard work we managed to fix most of the damage and helped clean some of the trash and inconveniences laying about and grouped of for a small tea party to celebrate

we walked back to the more "city" like side almost reaching our separating point.

"Man that was such a long day" Michiru sighs obviously worn out of today's labor
"I was only there for half of it and I'm beat i need a lot of rest"
"and a shower" Shirou surprisingly adds with a slight smile
"Yeah definitely."
we reach our seperating point and we wave eachother goodbye then i walk to my apartment.
