[BCIU]A great man has fallen
The battle of the frontier had been close to an end. The militia were now destroying the last of the IMC. Ethan was currently talking to his Titan BT.
"BT...we will make it home to Susan and the babies...I promise." He said Softly as he got in the cockpit ready for titanfall.
Ethan strapped in as the flight chief spoke "pilots, prepare for titanfall!" The announcement speaker rung out from the flight deck chiefs voice.
Ethan tapped the buttons and locked everything down as the drop master hit the drop button. The man exhaled in focus as he dropped in BT. The titan spoke "Pilot, I recommend you keep your head on a swivel." She said.
Ethan spoke "copy BT, prepare for combat." He said as he awaited their arrival. Within seconds they had touched down, BT drew her XO-16 chain gun and gave her pilot manual control.
Ethan focused and he moves towards a nearby infantry squad that was pinned down. Ethan shot the enemy IMC grunts and spectres. The pilot saw the pink mess that was made from his attacks on the much smaller grunts. Ethan noticed the sounds of the bullet casings falling from the chain gun as he engaged the enemy infantry.
The young pilot spoke to his titan "BT let's move the objective is in front of us." He said as he charged towards the objective. Ethan hadn't met much resistance on the way to the objective.
The pilot was flabbergasted when he saw IMC reapers and stalkers. The man was enraged but calm and focused. Ethan engaged the reapers quickly dispatching them with arc rounds. Ethan made sure to step on the reapers to ensure their destruction. "Pilot i detect enemy pilots." BT said.
Ethan spoke "be ready to engage BT." Ethan murmured as a ronin titan approached. BT shot 10 rounds at the ronin but the titan blocked the rounds with its blade.
Ethan spoke "BT, I'm going to disembark...you hit him low and I'll hit him high." He said. Before BT could protest Ethan jumped out of his titan.
The young pilot jumped at the ronin titan. Ethans jumpkit got him on the titans chassis and he gripped the battery he saw. Ethan twisted yanking it out before arming a grenade slamming it in the titans battery slot.
The man jumped away with his jumpkit towards BT. The titan scooped him out of the air and placed him into the cockpit.
The pilot chuckled "well, that was fun." He said and BT spoke "good kill pilot." She said as she kept moving deeper into the IMC stronghold.
Immediately as they entered they were met with what looked like a half finished legion titan. Ethan engaged the titan with BT's Chaingun. The legion titan didn't stand a chance, the rounds immediately went through the thin armor and hit the major systems causing a malfunction.
The malfunction caused the titan to explode killing the titan and the pilot inside. The explosion left a char stain on BTs chassis. Ethan kept pushing now getting to the end of the objective.
BT and Ethan ran into three titans. They were hired mercenaries. The first to engage was a ronin, the ronin swung its sword at him but Ethan dodged it and kicked the titans chassis hard. The ronins chassis dented but wasn't injured. Ethan shot at it with BTs chain gun and used the end like a bludgeon to smash in its cockpit to destroy it.
After a couple smashes it worked and it destroyed the pilot and titan efficiently. Ethan put BTs chaingun on her back and grabbed the ronins blade and spun it once.
The pilot spoke to the next in line "alright bitch let's dance." He said softly. The man ran at the tone titan with the sword at the ready. Ethan swung the ronin blade at the tone doing substantial damage.
The titan got a chunk of the armor torn off from Ethan's strike. Ethan proceeded to shoulder bash the tone and stab the blade into the chassis resulting in the pilot dead and the titan destroyed.
It was obvious they were amateur mercenaries which is why Ethan destroyed them quickly.
Ethan went hand to hand with the ion. Luckily he was close to it so he had a chance. Ethan charged him dodging the splitter rifle rounds and he tackled it. Ethan shot BTs rocket pods at the ion to injure him badly. BT slammed her fist in the titan going through and through killing the pilot and titan.
Ethan had too much adrenaline to realize that he had taken a gunshot from the tone to the side. It mostly hit BT but shrapnel ripped into him.
"Pilot your hit." BT said softly to her pilot. Ethan gasped and saw the now bleeding and throbbing wound. The man grabbed the trauma kit and applied wound foam to keep himself alive and stabilized.
Ethan and BT made it back to the evac point. The militia took a lot of losses from the IMC luckily they had gotten away and safe. Ethan covered their backs as they evacuated.
The IMC pushed with grunts and spectre squads. Ethan shot back with his titan lighting them up but they had anti titan weapons. A squad hit BT and damaged her. The deck chief yelled "Pilot I can only take one!" She shouted. The pilot got out of BT and he uploaded his last words to his helmet. The pilot put it in BTs cockpit "BT go, get my helmet to Susan." He ordered.
BT hesitated but listened and boarded the ship to leave. Ethan grabbed a flatline and began to kill the enemy units. Ethan kept fighting but he didn't last long.
The ship got away and BT spoke with an alert. "Captain Ethan Barnett...killed in action." She said.
A couple hours later BT got shipped to Ethan and Susan's home. Inside the titan was ethans pilot helmet.
Susan saw the helmet and she teared up. She knew if all that was back was his helmet he had died.
The woman picked the helmet carrying it in the house. Ethans family and her family were in the house waiting for her return. Susan sniffled and put the helmet down and tapped the side button activating a holo projector.
Ethan appeared and he spoke "hey guys, I recorded this In case of an untimely death....mom, dad I Uh I'm sorry that I couldn't be home to finally give you that hug you've been waiting for...I tried...I-I really did." He paused and sniffled.
Ethan looked up his bold brown eyes full of tears. "Susan...I tried to make it home....i-I did....I hope your not disappointed in me." Ethan looked down to regain his composure which failed. The man looked up "Susan Barnett....I love you so so so much....more than you'll ever know.....tell our baby boy when he grows up that I love him...more than anything in the world...I may have died but I did it for you both." Ethan said softly. The man spoke "I love you all....take care of yourselves and take care of BT....I'll be watching over you all." He said.
The others left the room and house to grieve. Ethan spoke "Susan....when you feel sadness and you cry and feel hurt...look up...you'll find me there..." Ethan looked up at her and he spoke "I love you three thousand." He said before the transmission ended.
