Chapter 6

When I saw her lying at the bottom of the stairs unconscious, I realized she was the girl I bumped into the other day. I checked her pulse and I breathe a sigh of relief as she was still breathing. I immediately brought her upstairs to get treated. Since this is a hospital, she was treated fast. Apparently, she works here that's why her colleague who had done the CT scan asked me what happened, and I answered honestly. I wonder why she fell on the stairs. Is it related to what happened the other day?

I stayed with her all throughout that I forgot I had a meeting scheduled. After conducting the tests, the doctor said she suffered a broken ligament or her right foot, few bruises but with no major injuries. But she had low sugar level that's why she needs to have an IV drip.

I arranged a room for her and planned to stay until she wakes up. I stared at her and noticed the crease on her forehead. Nonetheless, she was still breathtakingly beautiful. Her brows that fit perfectly in her angelic face. The nose that looks so delicate but accentuated her face even more. Her lips formed a small frown. I wondered what made her sad. Is it the guy earlier? I don't know why but I wanted to punch the hell out of him. How dare he! I caressed her frown and wondered what was it like to see her smile? 

I know I'm being creepy but I took a picture of her in my phone. This is not illegal. I reasoned to myself. This is just a proof that I've done a heroic deed today. Indeed.

 "Keep telling that to yourself. We all know the truth." My subconscious mind interrupted but I told him to shut up.

While I was busy looking at the pictures on the phone, I suddenly heard a small forced cough and I raised my head only to see the girl staring at me. I know she is already beautiful even when she is asleep but right now, as I was directed at her gaze. I was speechless. Those eyes. It was mesmerizing. I know my mine is blue but hers, it was different. It was brown but there is something unnerving in those eyes. I saw melancholy in those eyes. Its like a star that is about to lose light. Gradually dimming until it shines no more. I saw unshed tears, untold stories and untreated pain. I could stare into her eyes all day. It was the most beautiful and intriguing eyes I've ever seen. I asked her a question. She must still in shocked as she was in dazed when I ask her. She answered softly and her cheeks turned red. Why is she so adorable? Everything she does fascinates me. Even her meek voice. I find it soothing in my ears. 'You're dead man! Looks like your bachelor days are over.' I smirked at the thought.
