Chapter 12

"Shit!"

Tinitignan ko lang si Mark habang paulit-ulit siyang nagmumura sa harap ko. Kakarating lang namin sa amusement park and to his dismay, it is closed for renovation.

"Sorry talaga, Tin. I didn't know they we're closed," sabi niya sa akin habang nakasabunot sa buhok niya.

"Okay lang noh. 'Wag ka na ngang ma-stress," I answered him while trying not to laugh. Sobrang bad trip kasi niya at nagsimula na siya maglakad pabalik-balik sa harap ko.

"Hindi rin eh. Ang yabang ko pa kanina nung sinabi ko sa'yo na date natin 'to tapos ganito pala. Ang tanga lang."

"May mga bagay talaga na hindi natin mako-kontrol."

"Eh kasi naman eh! First date natin to eh!" Parang bata niyang reklamo. Napapadyak pa siya ng isang paa niya. I lost my self-control then. Hindi ko napigilan tumawa.

This grown-ass man who runs his father's company is throwing a tantrum like a 3 year old in front of me.

"Kumalma ka nga!" Humawak ako sa braso niya para matigil siya sa paglakad. "Okay nga lang diba? We can go out some other time."

He looked at me and took a deep breath. "Fine. But this doesn't count as our first date. 'Yung next date ang magiging first date natin."

Tumawa ulit ako. Bakit ba ang big deal nito sa kanya?

"We've gone out before. A lot of times na. So technically, this isn't even our first date."

"No! Those other times, we went out as friends. Ngayon nga lang ako nagkaroon ng lakas ng loob na sabihin sa'yo na date 'to tapos bulilyaso pa," sabi niya habang bumaba tingin niya sa sapatos niya na para bang nahihiya.

My heart melted. How could someone be this cute? He was a little pink in the cheeks and was pouting too. I bit my lower lip to suppress my smile.

"Tara na nga lang," he said while pulling out his car keys from his pocket. Nagsimula siyang maglakad papunta sa sasakyan niya. He looks so defeated while walking with his head down.

"What if I tell you I know another place where we could have our first date?" I said that made him stop in his tracks.

He looked back at me. "But the amusement park is the ideal first date. We both said na pupunta tayo rito ng sabay."

I smirked. "What if I tell you I know a place better than an amusement park?"

"Now you're making me curious," he said while raising an eyebrow at me.

"Tara!"
