You do everything but this damn work I said snatching a bag of chips out of tyquans hand You trippin he said grabbing it back. Man a nigga need to eat but let's do this work he said closing up the bag of chips and grabbing the paper from me "ight whats a nickname yo family call you" he said lowering the paper and looking at me. "Meatball" i replied hiding my face. "Meatball?" He said busting out laughing its not funny i said pushing him. Just embarrassing I should've lied mhm so funny whats yours i said snatching the paper from him and writing my nickname. When he stopped laughing he told me he had no family snatching the paper back. Where they at i asked none of yo business now you a virgin he replied.Virgin? That aint no damn question on the work i said snatching the paper from him. Yah it aint i wanna know and you gon stop snatching this paper he said snatching it back no im not can we get back to the work.

Okay we done i said finished for the day I said putting my stuff away . Okay good he said going back to eating his chips. wasn't gonna lie tyquan was kinda cute but something was off about him idk what it was. So you play football i said looking around his room yah i did cause it was my pops dream to see me play he replied not taking his eyes off his phone. Where yo dad at i asked none of yo business he replied. Rude I mumbled to myself i looked out the window and it was pretty dark outside.

What time you gotta be home meatball he asked it don't really matter what time I replied momma was never home and I would rarely see her cause the tight schedule she had but I wasn't mad cause it was keeping food on the table and roof over our head. Ight I got company coming over so do you need a ride home. No im fine im gonna meet my mom at the gas station near by she just got off work i lied ight he said shrugging his shoulders.I grabbed my stuff and the project and made my way to the door you don't want me to drive you to the gas station he asked holding the door open no im fine I replied waving and leaving.

I was walking home in the dark thinking about how different life would've been if my best friend hadn't died that night at that party. If I hadn't been knocked up on drugs with ty and stayed with her that night would those boys would still have took her there was lost of things I could have done differently maybe even not showing up to the party would have been nice. Oh how i miss her I thought this was all my fault I thought to myself ayo i heard some man in a car pull up and say to me. "Lamar" i questioned looking into the car and holding my hand on my chest you need a ride you asked umm sure I shrugged and getting in.Where you coming from he asked tyquans house I replied that's kinda a long walk and safe especially at a time like this he said with a worried tone I like the walk I replied mhm where yo house at he asked

I gave him my address and it wasn't far cause I walked a while before that. This you? He said pulling into the apartments yah i nodded my head. Thanks for bringing me home i said grabbing my stuff no problem be ready in the morning he replied okay byee i said waving closing the car door. I made it up the stairs noticing a the neighborhood kids talking and laughing and hanging out. They all looked like good friends. I made it inside the house and just like I figured momma was still at work. I checked the fridge for food and it was just TV dinners and leftovers from a week ago. I ate for lunch today I thought to myself closing the fridge door.

"Ughh" I said laying in my bed I just took a hot shower and i was ready to sleep until I got a message notification on my computer I checked to see who it was and it was my ex Kendrick so deleted the message and went right back to bed.He was the last person I wanted to talk to right now. this was my new fresh start away from everything that happened in my past and Kendrick was not gonna be in this new life.

       "Jade hunny wake up" my mom said snatching the blanket off of me. " Im going to work and dont be late my mom" she said giving me a kiss on my forehead and leaving. Another day of life I thought to myself getting up and picking out a outfit to wear today.
