Daddy's Son

I can readily recall my twelve year old eyes

Surpassing fireworks of harsh words in and out of my ears.

Without hesitation my tongue ease

With words of “Please stop it “ and “ I won’t do it again”.

But yelling only makes things worse

Your fist beating willingly with grace

As blood gush all over the house.

My heart beating of fear and luring behind confidence.

She gaze in my direction making eye contact

Searching for alliance, as her body recois from gravity to defiance.

Her mind dare not surrender to poison blows coarse by hands of raging fury.

The echo of doors chasing death, fighting to remain wishful.

I wishing that cloud 9 was everlasting moments of smiling meadows and good spirits.

Gleeful bubbles cheerfully gratifying .

But it’s not said my spine

As tunnels dug without intended destinations.

Blissful winter storm and opportune rhyme to disposed vail of temper.

I long for home improvement.

Compulsion driving my every action

Dialing phone ringing of the 911 operator.

Rail against every idea giving possible.

I saved her that night

beaming with tears.

I knew she would make it to see morning.

That beating was just a figment of her imagination.

At lease that’s what her mind told her

She loves him
