You were just a servant.

That was it.

So why was the prince's hands roaming your clothed body, his hot breath on your skin as his lips skimmed your neck, treating you as though you were his lover.

You've known Prince Yoonoh since you were a child.

You came from a family of servants who have been serving the royal family for decades.

Though you came from a family of lower status, the royal family didn't mind you and Yoonoh playing together children and even now as young adults, they never questioned you twos closeness.

Yoonoh was always an inquisitive person.

Even as a child, he was always so curious about things, dragging you to places with him so can discover something.

He was also rather sensitive and clingy as a child and you being only one year older than him would always pick on him for his clinginess, doing it out of love.

Though he use to be that way, as you two grew up, Yoonoh became more philosophical and scholarly.

He always had a book in his hand or was writing poetry though he never let you read them for some reason which usually made you a bit sad.

He also became very talented at sword fighting, archery, and fighting, his competitive nature making him practice nearly everyday.

Yoonoh became the perfect prince.

He was intelligent and athletic, sensitive and thoughtful.

He also grew to become very handsome and everyone always swooned over ever so talented future king.

You on the other hand, saw him as just Yoonoh, your close friend that you had a crush on... so with him corning you in an empty part of the castle, whispering in your ear how much he wanted you.

How much he needed you, you felt light headed.

You put your hands on his board chest, trying to push him away from you but he wouldn't budge, his arms soon encircling your body, pulling you closer to him as he left sweet love bites on your neck.

Your body was hot and you felt your knees growing weak.

You couldn't help the little gasps and moans that left your mouth, feeling rather embarrassed that Yoonoh was the cause of the noises you were making.

The prince removed his lips from your neck and leaned back, his brown eyes studying your features intently.

You felt so small under his gaze.

It was silent, only the sound of your breathing filled in the space between you.

"I am full of love tonight

Come look into my eyes, and let's go off

Sailing, my dear, on a long ocean ride.

This world will not touch you,

I will keep you snug upon my seat.

Let's plot

To make the moon jealous

With a radiance leaping from your cheek.

I will be full of love tonight,

Come look into these ancient eyes.

And let's go off sailing, my dear,

With our spirits intertwined.

Your body is just an old sandbar

In a speeding hourglass of time.

Love will turn the mouth of sorrow

Right side up.

Let your heart commence its destined

Laughing chime.

I will be brimful of love tonight,

Why ever be shy?

Come look into the playful eyes of my verse,

They are eternally branded,

Branded with

The Sun."

Your heart pounded as he recited the poem, your ears perking up from his lovely voice and also because of the fact that you recognized the poem.

It was by a Sufi mystic named Hafez.

Your eyes watered slightly.

Why was Yoonoh even doing this?

It wasn't like you two could even be together.

As much as his parents loved you, they wouldn't allow you two to marry.

Someone of royalty marrying someone of low status?

They'll become a laughing stock.

Yoonoh saw your tears and wiped them away with his thumbs, his hands gently cradling your head.

You sighed as you looked at him.

"Yoonoh... we can't-" but the prince cut you off.

"Yes, we can. Even if I have to run away with you, I will. I love you. I always have and no one, whether it be my parents or God himself, will keep us apart."

You looked into his eyes, eyes that were so filled of love.

"But what if your parents find out?" you asked in a hush tone, afraid that someone may hear.

A small smile grew on Yoonoh's lips.

"They won't. By the time I become king, they won't be able to say anything about us. I'll make sure of that." he told you and you couldn't help but wonder what exactly he was going to do when he became king.

The King and Queen were soon to step down from the throne and Yoonoh's day of crowning was drawing closer and closer the older the King and Queen became.

They had him when they were already rather old and it was because of their age, since the day Yoonoh was born, he was being prepared to become the next ruler.

He was technically the defacto ruler of the kingdom anyway since his parents were becoming too senile to do any kind of ruling.

Though Yoonoh was born into royalty, his parents didn't arrange a marriage from him, only telling the young prince to choose a partner who was from high status and had proper manners. No one of lower status and entertainers.

"But why me?" you asked and the prince shook his head.

"I can go on and on about all the reasons why I chose you but the most important one is that, you're my friend. You know secrets about me that not everyone knows. You comfort me whenever I'm down. Heal me whenever I'm wounded. We can talk about the stars with one another and never grow bored. Why not choose you? Out of everyone, you're who loves me deeply."

He gently kissed your nose and you felt your knees finally give out as you collapsed into his arms.

"Come with me." he started, leaning back to look into your eyes once more as you looked up at him, a shiver running down your spine as his soft features harden, his voice causing a warm feeling to pool in your stomach as he said, "I wish for you to lose yourself in me."
