Season 2: Episode 21

I let out a shaky breath as I sat down on the bench. I'd been walking around since I left school, wanting to cool down before I talked to my mom. The wind blows the warm air around, causing a rustle of dirt around my feet. I close my eyes and listen to the rustle of the bushes, and crickets chirping in the trees. I hear footsteps in front of me, and then someone sits down on the bench with me. Opening my eyes, I turn to look at Drusilla. She smiles and touches my hand. I back away.

" What do you want?"

Dru rolls her head around, looking up at the stars, " There are all these people, walking, talking. The stars know who is the right one, they whisper. It's you."

I blink, why did she have to speak in riddles, " What?"

Dru turns to look at me, " They want you to be my friend. The human, the one who sees things too."

" Your friend?" I say, " You mean you're not here to try and kill me?"

She shakes her head and extends her hand, " Come with me and we can play. We've got a surprise."

I run this over in my head. They might be trying to kill me, or Angel just wanted to torture me again. But if they had something planned, I was basically getting a pass into the base for free. I look back to Drusilla's extended hand, taking it. She smiles. " Come along."

I follow her into the large mausoleum, where I am directed to a room with thick drapes and a plush bed. In the corner was a collection of dolls, many of them charred and missing limbs. Drusilla goes to a trunk, pulling it open to reveal a ton of clothing. She pulls out a bundle of clothing, motioning for me to look at them. I held the first item out in front of me, which happened to be some tight, leather pants. Putting them aside, I hold up the ruby red shirt. It was cropped in the front, but ran long in the back. There was also a pair of black slip ons and a matching lace choker. Drusilla comes up behind me, " Do you like them?"

I nod. She hands them all to me and ushers me to a separate room, " Put them on."

The door shuts, leaving me alone. I sigh, stripping off my own clothes. The leather pants were a struggle to get into, but they were surprisingly comfortable. I slipped on the lacy top, fell down to the back on my knees. Putting on the slip on shoes and choker, I feel like a mini Drusilla.

Slowly, I cracked the door open, where Drusilla was laying on her bed, whispering to something. She turns to see me, and her lips turn upwards into a smirking smile. " You look fantastic."

I walk over to the bed, " So what are we doing?"

Drusilla puts her finger to my lips," Shh.." she says before putting a hand to her ear, "Angel is calling us."

With this, she walked me out to the center of the building, where a large stone rock was sitting in the middle of the room. I look it up and down as Spike comes up behind me, "It's a big rock. I can't wait to tell my friends. They don't have a rock this big."

"Spike, you never did learn your history, " Angel says, coming up on my other side. I jump at the sound of his voice.

"Then give me a lesson."

Angel steps towards the rock, " Acathla the demon came forth to swallow the world. He was killed by a knight, who's sword pierced him in the heart before he could take a breath to perform the act. Acathla turned to stone as demons do, and was buried where neither man, or demon would want to look."

The rock creaks open to reveal the demon, turned to stone like Angel had said. Sticking out of his chest was a silver sword. "Let me guess. Someone pulls out the sword, the demon wakes up, wackiness ensues." Spike says. You could tell that he wasn't having much fun being Angel's sidekick.
