An unexpected invitation
When Matthew de Clermont got an urgent phone call from the shadowhunter's Clave, he thought it would be something concerning his and his familly's actual situation with the Congregation. But not such luck! The one that was calling was no other than Magnus Bane, the High Warlock of Brooklyn, and brand new ellected warlock's representative in the Clave. And he was not even calling for a serious reason, but for the fact that he wanted to invite the de Clermonts to someone called Chairman Meow's birthday. When talking to Matthew on the phone, Magnus kept rambling about how that was a very important occasion and continued splitting out names that the vampire couldn't associate with people he knew, but also some he actually remembered from previous experience with the warlock. The name of Raphael Santiago was the first one that actually rang a bell to Matthew's memory, succeeded by Catarina Loss. It seemed that the warlock was expecially happy not only because of his apparently cat best friend's birthday, but for another aniversary too. For the sake of an almost as old as time itself friendship, he informed Diana and his son, Marcus, and they set off for New York.
