Greetings, I like many people adore Dovewing, having a a character like her is really nice, however, Dovewing get's a lot of Backlash for 'replacing Hollyleaf 'and such. let me get started, many say Ivypool is more innocent than Dovewing for not breaking the code, because training in the dark forest isn't banned but, the reason back then there wasn't a part in the code that says "You may not Train in the dark forest" was because they never thought clan cats would train with the dark forest! they never knew that envious young cats would let their clans get ripped to shreds! even now there isn't a code that says that because the dark forest was defeated!
Dovewing was a very young cat when she learned about the prophecy, she was put under a lot of pressure when she was a part of the prophecy, the lives of her classmates were basically in her claws! she needed someone to talk to "but what about Ivypaw?" you say, well apparently Ivypaw also wasn't a choice, she cut ties with her for a reason Dovepaw didn't know and instead of talking to Dovepaw or confiding in, basically anyone, she cut ties wither sister who is under a lot of pressure, also note that Dovepaw was a YOUNG apprentice when she met Tigerheart.
when Dovewing leaves, that's because she was already pregnant and there would be no point in pretending they were Bumblestripe because she knew he would find out and it would end badly for, her, her kits, Tigerheart, and everyone who cares about her! when Dovewing found out it was a lot more wrong than she thought, she tried to end the meetings but couldn't, because they were already in a relationship! some say Bumblestripe was begging for her heart, don't understand what love means, love isn't won over by begging, or won by looks, love is when you genuinely care about someone, such as when Cloudtail took care of Brightheart when she was newly injured, Dovewing also didn't shove her kits on some poor nursery queen and her sister, she took full responsibility for her kits, Dovewing had also tried to consider Bumblestripe, but she couldn't for a simple reason, SHE DOESN'T LOVE HIM!
How would Dovewing know that Tigerheart was gonna give away the location of Jayfeather's herbs? she was already in a relationship with him, so she trusted him, wouldn't you trust your significant other?
Dovewing also like I mentioned also gets backlash for replacing Hollyleaf but, how would Dovewing control her powers, how would Dovewing control the prophecy? you might as well say Firestar replaced Tigerclaw, Hollyleaf also ran away from the clans, so either way Starclan would need to choose a new cat for the third cat. That concludes my defense for Dovewing.
