Twenty-Ninth Chapter

Dear Diary, 

After the successful ceremony. Ondreaz, Sol, Xanai, Aunt Vanessa and I are heading to have brunch.  
Ondreaz: You guys are going to love the place we’re going to a restaurant fit for a king and queen.
Sol: You have really impressed me so far Ondreaz. Let’s see how long that lasts.
Aunt Vanessa: I’m sure Luna has told Ondreaz about the family rule.
Luna: Umm… well you see… I never imagined this would actually happen so no.
Sol: If he is anything you make him up to be he would need no preparation no?
Xanai: I’m sure he will meet the standard.
Ondreaz: I’m lost.
Luna: So, Sol being the oldest sibling is just going to ask you a few questions and give his blessing.
Ondreaz: Oh then I’m not worried.
Luna: Oh no you shouldn’t have said that.
Ondreaz: Why?
Luna: 3...2...1
Sol: Ondreaz of Colorado if princess Luna was to have an allergic reaction right now where is her epi pen?
Ondreaz: Um in her purse?
Sol: No she doesn’t have one so if something was to happen to her, you don’t have one in the car? Noted. Ondreaz looked nervous.
Sol: If she had one where is the appropriate place to inject the needle?
Ondreaz: In her thigh.
Sol: Yes correct. Those are my only two questions.
Luna: What? You have been dreaming of this day and that’s all you got?
Sol: Well I like this one. He has shown immense dedication through keeping the secret and yes I did hear about your little breakdown. He has also taken a great interest in getting to know you although it was annoying when he kept telling me things about MY twin sister. Bonus Estrella loves him. Xanai hit him in the stomach.
Xanai: And he loves you. I laughed.
Sol: Yeah that too.
Aunt Vanessa: Just glad to see you settling down dear.
Luna: In life you have one good love. So have fun and make mistakes so you can find that true love. You taught me that. We both laugh. Ondreaz glances at me worriedly.
Luna: It simply means that you find a good love once so treat it like an experience either for the next love or the same love just transformed. You still got a shot. We all laugh. 

We got to this beautiful restaurant and my family is the most embarrassing family ever. Not only that, things that we would normally talk about Americans don’t. Like previous romances or hookups in my case.
Luna: Today was better than I thought. Although I don’t know whose idea it was to go to a place an hour away.
Ondreaz: Mine, it’s nice to go for a little drive.
Sol: Luna doesn’t like drives.
Aunt Vanessa: Hasn’t ever since she was 14?
Luna: No, guys don’t.
Ondreaz: Babe, let your family talk.
Luna: Here we go…
Sol: We had a thirteen hour drive and I told Luna from what I learnt in University that drinking lots of fluid will make you want to pee. Little rebel didn’t want to listen to her brother.
Aunt Vanessa: She had to pee and the next rest stop was 15 miles away.
Sol: But there was a porta potty. This spoiled princess wasn’t used to such things so when she saw a cricket she not only peed herself but jumped, turning over the porta potty. Ondreaz laughed. Sol, Xanai and Aunt Vanessa have been laughing. 
Sol: Then… she sat on the side of the road crying. 
Aunt Vanessa: She said, “I never wanted to come here and now I’m covered in poop and pee of foreigners”.
Luna: That was traumatizing for me. We all laughed.
Sol: Let’s not talk about the guys she’s hooked up with. Ondreaz looked shocked. 
Ondreaz: Am I not your first boyfriend?
Aunt Vanessa: You are dear. Luna just likes to have fun is that not right dear? I sip my cocktail avoiding eye contact with Ondreaz.
Sol: Duke Ellington was my favorite. Came in at 3 in the morning and was gone in two hours.
Xanai: Mine would have to be Prince Brent. Sneak in at 11 and leave at 12. He was a quick one.
Luna: Guys in America families normally don’t talk about ex hook ups.
Ondreaz: No no let’s continue.
Luna: That’s the end of the list and it’s been the end for a year now.
Sol: Princesses just wanna have fun. 
Luna: Glad to see you're still bothered my count is higher than yours.
Sol: I saved myself for my queen. He kissed Xanai’s forehead.
Luna: And I saved my love for my king. I kissed Ondreaz’s cheek.
Aunt Vanessa: And I had a lot of fun before I met your uncle.
Sol and Luna: No! We don’t want to hear about your fun.
Ondreaz: Does that happen often?
Xanai: All the time.
Luna: Here in America they have some social rules. Guys normally hook up and the girls either wait for marriage or only do it with the guy they’re in love with. 
Sol: What a country? So I’m the girl and you’re the guy in this scenario?
Luna: Yes we are Americans after all. All of us laugh. We continued to enjoy brunch. Then Jay dropped off Estrella. 

We split cars. Estrella rode with Ondreaz and I. My aunt Vanessa went to her hotel and Sol and Xanai had Jay chauffeur them.
Ondreaz: Surprised they just let us take your niece, they must really trust you.
Luna: That and being king and queen doesn’t give you a lot of alone time.
Ondreaz: What does that mean?
Luna: It means they have a daughter and a country to run. It’s hard to get some couple time.
Ondreaz: Ohh with Jay in the car?
Luna: With the way how the car is set up it’s like he’s not even there and neither are they.
Ondreaz: Wow! Sounds like a nice investment. We both laughed. A thought that hasn’t left my mind is Ondreaz knowing about my sexual history.
Luna: Hey you don’t care that I hooked up with guys before right?
Ondreaz: Nope that was the past. I obviously knew you weren’t a virgin, guess I never really got into the details of it. Just caught me off guard how open your family is to talking about that kind of stuff.
Luna: Because here it is so disgraceful. I understand.
Ondreaz: I don’t think like that, you know that right? 
Luna: Yeah I know. Estrella starts crying. 
Luna: Yes honey? 
Estrella: Chips. I reach into her bag and start passing her chips. Then I gave her a bottle with water. She threw the bottle signaling she was done with it and then started crying again. I knew she was sleepy.
Luna: Baby pull over please. Ondreaz pulls over and I go in the back. I pick her up and rock her. 
Luna: Baby pass me her bottle with milk please? He handed it to me and I fed it to her as she slowly fell asleep.
Ondreaz: Cute seeing you in mommy mode.
Luna: Not so bad yourself. I carefully put her back in her car seat. 
Luna: Hey, thank you for today. At first I was a bit upset but I needed it today. You’re the best boyfriend ever. 
Ondreaz: Aww anything for you baby.
Luna: I love you cariño.
Ondreaz: I love you too cariña. We kissed and then continued driving. He put his hand on my thigh which he hadn’t done all day. Probably because we were driving with Sol. Probably shouldn’t have told him that we’re trained in combat, black belts and took jujitsu. I wanted to record a quick tik tok. I started recording and moved his hand from my thigh. He put it back. I moved it again.
Ondreaz: Why do you keep moving my hand? I don’t say anything and he puts it back. Then he looked so pissed. We came to a red light and looked at me.
Ondreaz: Babe we’ve been having such a good day what’s… He started laughing. 
Luna: Happy Valentine’s Day babe.
Ondreaz: You keep playing, lucky it’s your birthday. I cut off the camera, he places his hand back and we continue driving to a surprise location.

We went to six flags! We had so much fun on all of the rides. We spent the next six hours screaming, laughing and honestly just having a blast. Even Jay got free from duty to have some fun. We met some fans who were very confused about us being with Estrella. We took a lot of pictures and it was amazing to see how well Ondreaz got along with my family. Him and Estrella are best friends, Xanai loves him and Sol and him have an annoying bromance. This day could not get any better.
