It was the new broom stick that I keep hearing about. It's called a Firebolt because of how fast it can go. A good example is that a Nimbus two thousand and one wouldn't be able beat it even with a long head start. And Harry was basically droollying all over the window of the Firebolt that is on display. I rolled my eyes and went to Flourish and Blotts.
Don't get me wrong I would love to have that broom but I won't torture myself but just standing right in front of something that I can't get like Harry. I looked at the monster books that Harry and a lot of other students would be using. They looked dangerous but with what Hagrid said in the letter I knew there was a simple way to open them without getting attacked.
And that's what our stay at the leaky cauldron consisted of. Well I helped Harry with his homework but mainly let him do it by himself. Then one morning I saw that the Weasleys and Hermione arrived. We all hugged and asked how our summers have been. Then they went to Diagon Ally for school shopping.
As we were walking around Ron and Hermione got their school books. But then they went to the pet store for Ron's rat and Hermione to get a early birthday present. And it was funny to watch Ron get attacked by a fluffy ginger cat. And the best part was that Hermione got that cat instead of an owl. While at the pet store I looked around for a pet of my own since Hedwig was basically Harry's. I was in the feline section when I felt a pull for a kitten in a lonely cage I just passed.
The clerk saw me starring at the kitten and the kitten starring at me. She smiled and came over that caused the kitten to break eye contact and hiss at her. But she only gave a patient smile while reaching in and picking him up. He meowed and tried to get to me but the clerk had a firm hold on him. "Miss I saw that you and this little one seem to have bonded when you made eye contact. Well he is a kneazle kitten. He is the runt easily forgotten. A kneazle is highly intelligent, has an uncanny ability to detect untrustworthy individuals, independent, sometimes aggressive and capable of guarding homes. But to own him you need a license. And since I sell them I have the paper work to sign that gets you your license and to make him yours if you want." I was surprised by what she said but agreed to do the paper work for him.
After a while I finished and the last part was his name. I looked at him for a long time thinking about everything she told me. "Loyalty. His name is Loyalty, for his nature and how he looks. It just seems right to call him Loyalty." She smiled at me and nodded while writing it down.
"Now since he is so expensive and the license is expensive I am willing to give a cage, food, treats and a bed for five Gallon, thirteen sickles and five knuts." I agreed and payed. I then left and went to the leaky Cauldron with Loyalty.
Ron and Hermione were fighting over Hermione cat since it was the one that attacked Scabbers. And it was giving me a headache. So to drown it out I pulled a book out while petting Loyalty. I had already finished eating so there was nothing for me to do. I was reading and petting Loyalty for along time before I got the feeling that something was about to happen. So I looked around discretely and saw that the twins had their pranking smirks and they were looking right at me. I looked around and saw that they had placed dung bomb that would explode once I got up. I smirked and used very little to unnoticeable wandless magic. I made an Illusion of dung bomb of where it's at but moved it so it was under the twins. I then went back to my reading and petting Loyalty.
