"What in hell does she want more parchment for?! She has a drawer full of it!" Ginny complains.
Harry shrugs,"Your mum likes parchment... Just get her it. She'd be furious if we didn't." She nods and they enter Scribbulus Writing Instruments and buy three yards of parchment, Ginny is about to pay when Harry grabs her arm. He pays three galleons and grabs the parchment placing it in the shopping bag Mrs.Weasley had given them.
Ginny looks at him angrily,"Mum is expecting me to pay Harry."
"I paid though, so she won't have to worry about it," he replies leading her out.
"You didn't have to," she argues.
"I didn't. But I wanted to, come on."
She smiles at me and we continue onto the list.
Next, they go into Sugarplum's Sweets Shop to buy the mints Mrs.Weasley wanted, and some chocolate powder and other baking supplies. Again, Harry pays. Ginny argues with him about it, him paying makes her feel like she's using him, like the only reason she's with him is for money. She knows it isn't true, yet she knows it's what people say."Harry, stop. Let me pay, this is for my mum, why would you be paying for it? It's not fair for you, plus imagine how pissed off my mum would be," she tells him taking out five galleons and thee sickles.
She pays the girl behind the counter,"You're Harry Potter!"
Ginny, rolls her eyes,"Yeah. I am."
"Can I have my stuff now?" She asks. The girl glares at her as she hands Ginny her stuff,"You're a Weasley."
"Yeah. I am.""Hey guys look! Harry Potter is here with his girlfriend!" the girl calls out to the people in the back. Ginny can't help but notice she keeps smiling at Harry flirtatiously.
Some come out and fangirl, but they only smile at them a little awkwardly. Harry looks down at the counter then at Ginny,"Want something?"
She shakes her head, looking around at all the options."Can I have a dozen?" Harry asks glancing at her.
"Sure what kinds would you like?" She questions sweetly twirling her hair. I roll my eyes, wanting to laugh. The pair tell her what they want, and what Mrs. Weasley had written on the list, and Ginny tries to ignore the looks the girl is giving her boyfriend. "Oh and a bag of chocolate frogs please," Ginny finishes, Paying the girl quickly, uncomfortable by the attention she's getting, not only from the workers, but the customers around them too.
Harry doesn't seem to notice though, or at least it doesn't look like he does. The girl writes it down and places it on a window ringing a small bell.
"It'll a be fifteen minutes, you may leave and come back although I'd rather you not," she says biting her bottom lip.
Harry raises an eyebrow,"Right. Me and Ginny'll just sit over there, what's your name?"
The girl blushes, and Ginny cringes.
"Donna."
"Nice, thank you, Donna," Harry says turning around and walking to the chairs in the side of the store. People try to pretended they're not looking, but the attention the couple is receiving is obvious. It'd been like that all day, and it was getting exhausting for Ginny.
"Is this what dating a celebrity is like?" Ginny wondered.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked, extending his arm around his girlfriend.
She looked around before muttering, "People keep staring at us."
As if just now realizing, he looked around, "So? Aren't you used to it at school?"
She shakes her head. Ginny knew she was pretty, and she knew she was wanted, but being gawked at was different than being admired. The looks they got recently were only those of admiration and respect.
In no way was any of that bad, she just wasn't used to it. In response to Harry's question, she just shook her head. He smirked in response, "You know... they're mostly staring at you right?"
She turns to him, "Stop. That doesn't even make sense you dimwit.l
"Don't call me a dimwit," he laughs. "It's true! You're a killer ass quidditch player, and you, being a teenager, fought on the winning side of a major war. Why wouldn't they stare?"
"Because you're Harry Potter!" She whispered in reply.
"I'm old news," he shrugs. Ginny laughs this time, knowing he's only pretending to be sad.
Harry didn't like the attention, she knew that much, but it was almost as if he'd become immune to it at this point. They continue to converse and joke around until, finally, "Weasley!"
The red head rushes to her feet and then to the counter, to get her delicious smelling biscuits. "Babe," she called, smirking.
Harry looked up, looking at her in confusion. They'd agreed that term was cringe. "Help me with the frogs will you? My hands are full."
He looked at Donna, and then at Ginny, and rolled his eyes. She was possessive, she was a Weasley.
