It was dark, cold, and rocky hole my friends and I were falling in. Did you know sometimes that falling feels more like flying, yes we're going down but at this moment in time I feel weightless, unable to place my feet down on the ground. I know how this looks. Were falling to our enviable doom and your thinking about flying. I didn't think this is how I would go, considering how close I was to graduating high school. I for sure did not think this out of all the things that this for happening today. An earthquake causing my friends and me to fall through the floor of our school down a hole that somehow seems to feel like it goes on forever.
As we all continue to fall we spin around to face the bottom like were sky diving and join hands. You know for sure that I'm glad that I'm at least with the people I care about. This would have been a super weird situation if this happened with people I've never met before. We all look at each other and our surrounding cave walls, all speechless, not knowing what to say to make us feel better.
"Just before this all ends I just wanted to say.." Mel gets interrupted by Morgan
"We know" he smiles while trying to hold back his tears.
As some of us look like crying messes and others hold them in we close our eyes as we braise for the end.Seconds go by and I can't handle not knowing. As I open my eyes and notice that these blue glowing spots are appearing more and more around the walls of the hole. Why? What are they? Giving the hole a blue light hue, that lights up the space around us. I look down to see ifs theres more, and I notice that's theres something down there.
"Hey guys, it looks like there's something at the bottom".
The more I focus on the bottom the clear it gets.
"Yeah, and whatever it is, it looks like we're going to hit it". Courtney said with panic in her voice.
"Its looks like..." Morgan gets interrupted by Mel
"WATER!!!!".
We all let go of each other and prepare for impact.
We hit the water.
What I thought would be brighter than the hole only ended up being darker, and all that darkest did was consume. As I try to hold what little air I have left in my lungs, and trying to swim up as much as I can. I was hit with the fear of never knowing the surface again, never feeling the wind through my hair. Never watching the sunset and the moon rise. As I let out my final breath, and my last struggle to reach the top, I look above. I see a bright light and a dark figures hand come towards me. Then everything goes black
