I was just laying in my bed staring at the ceiling fan, as that's all I could do at this moment. "Are the pills not working..?", I thought to myself, "it's so suffocating in here..I should open the window", I turned my head toward the window, it wasn't very dark outside since it was the full moon tonight. So I got up out of my bed and walked towards the window. I opened the window, allowing the cold night air to slip into the room, "Ah much better", I smiled breathing the fresh air in. But then I heard it..

It sounded like something solid falling to the concrete floor, I immediately looked outside the window.. but I didn't see anything. "Could my ears be fooling me?", I thought thinking I've been up for too long, but I knew I was wrong when I heard another noise, this time it sounded like.. claws? Dog claws walking on the concrete floor.. but bigger. "My ears are so not fooling me", I shivered, but I didn't know wether I shivered because of the cold air or in fear, But who could blame me? Wouldn't you be scared if you heard something like that in the middle of the night?, "hello?", I called out, I wanted to know what those sounds were coming from.

"Is anyone there?", I called out again, but just like last time there was no reply. "I should close the window..", I thought to myself but just as I thought that something outside made my whole body freeze, I felt my heart speed up. Outside my window what I was staring at were two red eyes staring right back at me, but I didn't move I was frozen in shock, so I decided to speak to it instead of the smart solution which was closing the window, "h-hello?", I stuttered in fear, the thing did nothing, not even move.. it just continued staring at me, I felt horrified.

When I finally came to my senses thoughts and questions filled my head, "is that thing harmful? Does it want to kill me? What if it's a demon.. why the hell does it have red eyes?", and my number one question, "what the fuck is that thing?!", I decided it'd be best for me to immediately slam my window shut, hide under my blanket, and pretend this was all a nightmare. Which I did, except for the last part, this was one hundred percent reality, "how am I supposed to sleep now? And was that creature the thing that made the sounds before? Does it have claws?!", my thoughts raced inside my head, my heart sped up, and I also felt beads of sweat start to drip down my forehead, I didn't know if it was because of the blanket or stressing about the creature.

"I wish I never had opened my window, I wish I just stayed in bed and shut my eyes! How stupid of me", I felt regretful, how am I supposed to go to work tomorrow if I can't even fall asleep?, "my boss is so going to fire me..", I stressed over that thought for a while but then I realized the creature was worth more to stress over. "I wonder if I'm it's next victim- no no no Minghao think positive.. maybe it's a nice creature? Maybe it's not even a creature and just.. maybe lights? A lot of people put light decorations in my neighborhood", I tried thinking of something else that thing could've been.

"hmm let's see, red eyes.. dog like claw- no, It can't be. Could it be?.. a.. werewolf?"

"No Minghao don't be stupid those don't exist", I tried getting the werewolf idea out of my head but I couldn't, "a blood thirsty human-wolf staring at me with its red eyes..", I started to feel anxious. "I mean it is a full moon tonight-", My thoughts were interrupted by a loud thud outside, "fuck fuck fuck fuck, what is it doing outside? Is it trying to get inside my house? To kill me?!", I shivered although it was hot underneath my heavy blanket. "Don't be stupid Minghao maybe it was something else other than the creature? Maybe-", My thoughts were interrupted again due to a metal like bang. It sounded like something had hit the garbage can outside, "okay that definitely was a creature! But maybe it wasn't the so called 'werewolf' it could've been a raccoon or something..", I didn't want it to be the creature that was hitting these things because I didn't even want it to be a creature! I wanted this to all be fake! I just wanted to sleep peacefully.
