Xena awoke and she felt the skins against her naked body, along with Borias at her side, laying right in the middle of her back.
"Borias?" she huffed, trying to gain her strength in order to get up. "Borias?"
He shifted around and he noticed that she was uncomfortable. "What is it?" his heavy though seducing accent filling the air.
Inhaling deeply through her nose, "Something's wrong..." she clutched her stomach with her fingers.
"What?" he got up and he put his hand over hers.
Heaving as she rummaged through her thoughts, "Alti did something. I know she did," she mentioned.
He swiped her black hair off her shoulders and he kissed her skin as he tried to comfort her.
"She's angry with me. She did something to the baby."
"How do you know?" he almost whined.
"She's a very powerful Shamaness," she explained for the millionth time.
"You keep saying that," he rolled his eyes, nearly pushing her with his slight temper.
"Because it's true!" she harshly whispered before shoving him away to stand up. Wrapping the dark brown fur around her naked figure, "Believe me, if I didn't know what I was talking about, I wouldn't have said anything," she hugged herself. "Borias, I don't know what she did, but she did something. I can feel it."
"If she did, we kill her," he stood up, wrapping a fur around his lower half. "Harming my child."
The raven haired woman let off a laugh, almost as if he were joking. "Your child? It's mine too, you know?"
"Yes, but you... You make deals whereas I would protect my child."
"And I wouldn't? I'm not the one who left my son behind back in Hungary--"
He wrapped his hand around her throat and chin.
"Hey, now... Don't be offended, I wasn't done," she said low, though a smile on her face as he held her with such force.
"I left Belach and Natassa for you, Xena," he squeezed her face, whispering deeply in her ear. "And no, I don't think you would protect our child---if I had to I would go back to defend my own," he tossed her face.
She coughed breifly, though a devilish grin remained on her lips. "You're wrong. Just because I'd turn you over to a pack of wolves doesn't mean I would do the same to my child. Our son."
"Son?" he swiftly turned to look back at her. He then moved his hand to her stomach.
"Yes," she pulled his hand off her middle and she tossed it aside. "Don't get all soft on me now just because I'm carrying your child."
"Well, how do you know?" he asked, dodging her snide comment.
"Alti told me," as she dropped her fur. "That's how she was able to curse him... She knows everything because she's seen him in the future. Hurting him, that hurts us."
"Well, what can we do?"
"We hunt her and bring her back to camp," she started picking up her clothing and armour. "Get three men---start looking for her. She's very powerful so they'll need to be careful. Make sure her hands are tied and blindfold her."
"As you wish," he came forward and he gave her a passionate kiss on the cheek. He started sliding into his leather clothing and armor and in doing so, he made his way out of the tent shirtless.
Pursing her lips to his back, Xena stood in silence, just thinking heavily on how she could torment Alti into taking away the curse.
After having been betrayed by Julius Caesar, her legs shattered at his command---she learned to trust no one. Once Lao Ma fixed her broken legs, she tried to kill Borias for all of what he put her through; trying to steal her army and trying to have her killed. But in the end, her rage took her farther from Lao Ma and the peace she once had diminished. It was safe to say the woman was a tyrant. Having met Alti, she was bound to become the Destroyer of Nations. But Alti was crooked and the warlord of a woman didn't want to kill the Amazons as she was asked---she'd already killed Cyane---the queen of the Amazons and it left her guilty; something she didn't feel often. Deciding against the work of the shamaness, Xena decided to fall back and move on with Borias, but now with her curse---she had to bring the woman whom was more evil than her down.
