"Oh for the love of god." She growled out punching the steering wheel of the car that just broke down. She was in the middle of no where; trees surrounding the road and about an hour and half away from Beacon Hills. "This seriously is not happening right now." She stepped outside of the car popping the hood in the process. Once she opened the hood steam flew out into her face making her hiss in pain from how hot it was. She stepped back letting the engine air out and then agressively kicked the side of the car. She pulled her phone out to see if she could call someone; luckily she had signal and quickly dialed a number.
After a little bit the receiver answered with a groggy voice, "Uh hey Papa S sorry to call you at a time like this." the woman placed a hand on her hip looking up at the dark sky. "It's - It's alright Soph, what's up?" She could hear her friend moving around on the other end, "Well I'm in a bit of a pickle. I was able to get away from the job for a little while and wanted to come home and surprise the family. I'm about an hour or so out in the middle of no where and my car kind of broke down." her voice gradually getting quieter trying to hear any kind of movement out in the woods. "Do you want me to come get you?" He asked right away concerened for the girl he sees as his own. "I mean if your busy you don't have -" She was cut off by the sheriff immediately, "It's midnight Soph, why would I be busy?" He chuckled a little; then a sudden sound of keys clinking got her attention. "Well Sheriff if you don't want to and get your sleep I can just call mom or someone." She got back into the car wrapping herself tighter into her jacket. "Tell me where your at and I'll be there." Was the last of that discussion and she obliged to his command and waited for the man.
Almost 2 hours later she saw a car pull up on the other side of the road with the sheriff in pj pants and his uniform coat. Soph stepped out of her car with a grin as wide as her face on and walked over to the greying man; "Papa S! I've missed you so much!" She let out a laugh as she gave him a giant hug. He laughed giving a hug back "It's been a while Soph." They let go and both turned to look at the old beat up car. "Meet Old Betty, the one that will never cooperate with what I want to happen." He walked over to the car and looked at the engine, frowning he looked back up at Sophie "Well we can't really do anything while it's dark out." He stood up setting his hands on his hips like the sheriff he is and pursed his lips "Put your bags in the back of my car, I can take you home. I'll get one of the mechanics to pick it up tomorrow." "Oh, you really don't have to do all that." She smiled at him. The sheriff playfully glared at the girl before walking over to the back door of her car and opened and grabbing a couple of bags. She sighed and did the same.
Soon after papa S dropped Soph off at the house, hopping they didn't wake anyone with all the luggage. He left after and it was quiet in the house again. She tiptoed up the stairs, quietly turning the doorknob to Scott's bedroom finding him fast asleep wrapped aorund one of his pillows. She ran and jumped on him wrapping her arms around his arms so he wouldn't lash out but she failed as his strength quickly pinned her down to the bed. Soph let out a low chuckle "Hey there Scotty poo." His eyes widened seeing his attacker and let go of her arms quickly wrapping her in his "Sophie, Oh my god I missed you so much." He let out quietly. "I missed you too little bro, but this chickflick moment is getting awkward." Scott suddenly letting go and got off the bed almost falling on the ground doing so. "What are you doing back? I thought you had another month?" He asked finally getting himself situated. "They sent me home early." She quietly said looking down at her hands. She didn't want to tell him what had happened, their mom knew but she wanted to keep it a secret from Scott because she knew that once he found out there wouldn't be a way of stopping him from doing something terrible like punching a wall or possibly breaking a door which none of them had the money for.
