In With The New: A Short Story

Graduation.. Man . I cant believe its all over . I sat in the front row wearing my cap and gown with my best friend, Langston, anxiously waiting for my name to be called . I sat there nervous as hell and shaking while Langston held my hand . My heart was POUNDING . Then they called my name; Aaliyah Heyne . I hopped up quickly, walked up on stage and received my diploma. I stood on the stage practically cheesing ear to ear showing off my braces.
I heard my older brother Tye yell "That's what I'm talkin 'bout braceface !" as i took my seat on stage with the other people who received their diplomas. I sat next to my other bestfriend Shonda, who had already got her diploma . They called a few other people &Langston's name after mine. I was so proud of myself &them two.
We've been friends since i moved to California when i was 12. I don't know what i would've done if they weren't in my life. I still cant believe it. We're all about to go off to college. I was getting teary eyed just thinking about it until our principle finally spoke
"Ladies and gentlemen, i give you, the graduated class of 2012!"
We all jumped up and threw our caps in the air. I hugged my bestfriends, former classmates, and even my principle.
I ran off stage and ran into my mom &dad's arms.
"I'm proud of you, munchkin" my dad said kissing me on my forehead.
We all stood there talking for a few minutes then we walked over to Where Shonda &Langston's families were.
"I'm proud of you two assholes" Shonda said smiling and putting her arms around me &Lang's shoulders.
"Girl, its too hot for all that" i said moving her arm.
I was really burning up! I unzipped my gown revealing beige split sleeve dress by Nicole Miller and my black Kelsi Dagger Bret Pumps. Me & Shonda agreed to wear similar dresses, just because we that cute . aha . She had on a strapless dress that was light blue though.
"Okay sexy ! I see you !" Shonda said winking at me
"You so gay. Aha"
I looked over at Langston and he gave me this weird look, well it wasn't weird but he was looking at me like i was a different person. He turned away and took off his gown. He had on a white dress shirt &an off-white sweater vest. I'm not even gonna lie! He was lookin' good. The last time i saw him dressed up was when he went to prom with India 'ole bitch ass. -.- But anyway ! I walked over to him and gave him a hug
"Okay, Lang. You look cute" i said standing next to him as he put his arm around my waist.
"You look gorgeous Liy." He said giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Awwww ! I gotta get a picture of y'all two." Ms. Betty said taking out her camera.
"That's the dream team right there!" My mom said taking a few pictures
"Shonda! Come here! Come get in the picture."
She walked over stood on the other side of Lang.
"At the same damn time !" Tye yelled
"Aye bro ! You already know!" Langston yelled back.
"Please don't pipe him up" i said laughing . "Please"
"Yo, you mind if Julian &DayDay come to the party?"
"No, tell em to come over when we all get there"
